2016 RAM 2500 Lift Kits:

BDS Suspension is now shipping suspension lifts for the 2016 RAM 2500 4WD trucks. Available in 2″, 3″, 4″, and 5.5- 6″ lift heights with other sizes coming soon, these new kits are designed to improve the performance, functionality, and curb appeal of your late model RAM HD while retaining the handling characteristics and drivability RAM owners have come to expect. All kits are offer with your choice of BDS 5500-series hydraulic shocks as well as precision tuned Fox 2.0 gas shocks for superior performance.

2″ Leveling Kit: The 2″ leveling kit uses a pair of heavy-duty fabricated steel coil spacers to level the stance and allow for up to 35″ tires to be installed. The spacers are pitched and indexed to work with the unique coil mount design of the late model RAM HD trucks and are secured to the coil bucket to maintain proper indexing when the coil springs are unloaded. Extended polyurethane bump stops are used to control suspension compression along with your choice of 5500-series or Fox 2.0 gas shocks. [see more]

3″ Radius Arm Lift Kit (diesel only): The 3″ radius arm system gives all the benefits of a high performance system at a lower height designed for 35? tires. Along with progressive rate front coil springs, the kit includes heavy duty high clearance tubular radius arms with large 3.5? bushings, a solid stock adjustable track bar, new spherical bushing extended swaybar links front and rear, 1.25″ rear coil spacer, rear track bar bracket and your choice of shocks. [see more]

4-6″ Radius Arm Lift Kits:These kits are designed to retain the factory radius arms by relocating the frame mounting location using a pair of 1/4″ steel drop brackets to maintain suspension geometry. The drop brackets key off the factory mounts and tie into the frame for extra strength. Also included in the kit are specially designed gas or diesel engine specific progressive rate ProRide front coil springs offering improved performance across all terrains. 8″ BDS 4-Link Systems for RAM 3500 Trucks

BDS adds to its suspension lineup with new lift kits for the 2013-2015 RAM 3500 4WD Diesel Trucks. Adding to the current lineup of 2″ leveling, 3″ radius arm, 4-6″ standard, and 4-6″ 4-link systems are new 8″ 4-link systems. While the 8″ 4-link with full spring replacement has been available, BDS now offers a block and dual add-a-leaf option giving RAM 3500 owners a more affordable option to get clearance to fit up to 40″ tires. This new kit utilizes the tried and true 4-link front suspension engineered to improve the trucks handling in any terrain while limiting caster change through wheel travel. As with all BDS kits, this new 8″ 4-link system is backed by Factory Protection Plus (FPP) giving you the piece of mind to use it and abuse it wherever your next adventure may be. FPP combines BDS’s No Fine Print Lifetime Warranty and a 5-year 100,000-mile drivetrain warranty.

BDS Suspension continues to lead the industry with new and innovative products for the late model RAM 2500/3500 4WD trucks. In addition to the 2″, 3″, 4″, 6″ and 8″ full spring kits BDS now offers the 8″ with a 5″ block and dual add-a-leaf option giving truck owners a more affordable option lift and level the stance with room for up to 40″ tires.

This 8″ 4-link system offers premium on-road comfort and superior offroad capability for the best all around performance out of your new 1-ton RAM. As with the widely popular BDS 4″, 6″, and 8″ 4-link conversion systems for late model RAM, this new 8″ system converts the factory radius arm suspension to a true 4-link for improved stability, wheel travel, and handling across all terrains. The 4-link design limits caster change to less than 1-degree of change throughout wheel travel for better handling, steering control, and overall driveability. The heart of the system are a pair of massive frame-mounted brackets precision welded and engineered to position the new upper and lower control arms for optimal suspension geometry for late model RAM trucks. The 4-link brackets are fabricated from 1/4″ thick steel and wrap around the frame as well as the factory radius arm brackets to create an extremely sturdy mount for the new arms. Removal of the factory radius arm brackets is not required allowing the brackets to stay intact to speed up the installation time. The upper and lower control arms are built from 2″ OD x 3/16″ wall DOM tubing for the strength to take any abuse you can throw at them. They utilize large 2.5″ OD polyurethane bushings to isolate road vibrations and are formed inward to allow for extra tire clearance. These arms are finished in a durable textured black powder coating and use grease fittings for easy servicing.

The additional height comes from a pair of specially designed dual rate ProRide coil springs. These 8″ coils have been engineered and tested to improve the ride quality and performance across all terrains while holding up to the rigors that 1-ton truck owners demand without bowing or sagging over time. A heavy duty track bar relocation bracket is supplied to recenter the front axle once lifted and a forged drop pitman arm is used to correct steering angles to keep them in phase for proper handling. New extended sway bar links are included to correct the front sway bar operating angle. These new links are greasable via pre-installed grease fittings and feature a unique poly-flex ball design to provide bind-free operation. Extended front bump stops are included to limit suspension compression and braided stainless steel kevlar-lined extended front brake lines allow full droop of the suspension. Rounding out the front are your choice of specially valved BDS-5500 or Fox 2.0 performance gas shocks for a smooth ride across any terrain.

At 8″ of lift, transmission/transfer case relocation is required to allow front driveshaft functionality. BDS includes a new laser cut transmission crossmember and adjustable transmission mounting plate to increase clearance front driveline clearance. The transfer case is repositioned by way of a supplied indexing ring kit to correct the operating angle and a billet aluminum driveshaft spacer is supplied to allow the use of the factory driveshafts. Indexing rings are available for both 6-bolt and 8-bolt transmission equipped trucks, confirm transmission before ordering. In the rear, BDS offers to options to lift the truck and level the stance. First is a new leaf spring + 2″ block combo and the other is a 5″ block + dual add-a-leaf kit.  The leaf spring option is designed to optimize ride quality and maximize wheel travel with a triple-stage leaf spring. The block and dual add-a-leaf is designed increase towing capacity by adding a pair of leafs to the factory spring pack. New rear u-bolts are supplied with both kits to convert the factory 14mm over to the larger 5/8″ diameter u-bolts and your choice of BDS-5500 or Fox 2.0 performance gas shocks complete the rear of this truck.

Available Accessories

BDS has a number of accessories available to fit the new 2013-2015 RAM 3500 trucks. Both single and dual steering stabilizer kit are available to meet your on-road and off-road performance needs. Available with 5500-series (white body), 9500-series (brushed stainless body), and Fox 2.0 (50/50-valved aluminum body) BDS steering stabilizers improve drivability by reducing front end shimmy caused by oversized tires and mount above the tie-rod for extra protection when offroad. The dual stabilizer kits mount end-to-end with an attractive BDS branded center bracket. In addition to steering stabilizers, BDS offers a heavy duty adjustable front track bar to allow you to dial in the front axle lateral positioning. Constructed from 1-3/8″ solid steel stock this new adjustable track bar is built to handle on and off-road abuse and uses a 1-3/8″-12 fine threaded pinch bolt design turnbuckle to allow easy tuning to properly recenter the front axle for a range of lift heights. The track bar is formed for proper clearance around critical front end components and features gusseted ends for additional rigidity. The ends utilize high-durometer polyurethane bushings with thick-walled steel sleeves for strength and reliability. To improve dampening capabilities BDS offers front dual shock mounting brackets. The upper hoop ties into the factory coil bucket and frame rail for added rigidity and allows you run a pair of BDS-5500 or Fox 2.0 shocks at each front corner. Lastly, BDS offers rear traction bar kits to fit the new Ram 3500 trucks. Designed to eliminate axle wrap and keep the rear axle planted during hard acceleration, BDS traction bars are constructed from 1-1/4″ OD tubing and are 100% bolt-on. As with all BDS products these are backed by the comprehensive Factory Protection Plus Plan. This new system is built around a pair of massive tubular replacement radius arms. These arms are built to handle the use and abuse RAM 2500 owners demand and far surpass the factory stamped steel arms with thick wall tubing and support gussets. They are formed inward to allow for addition tire clearance of oversized tires and incorporate factory style 3-1/4″ rubber bushings to minimize road vibrations while allowing for long, maintenance-free bushing life. The new radius arms mount right into the factory locations so installation is simple and clean. Factory alignment adjustability is maintained using the OE eccentric adjusters and the arms are designed to correct the geometry for 2-4″ inches of lift.

In addition to the heavy-duty, high-performance radius arms, this new system includes a pair of dual-rate front Pro-Ride coil springs to improve the ride and performance of these 3/4-ton trucks. A heavy-duty turnbuckle style adjustable track bar is included to recenter the axle. BDS greaseable front sway bar links reset the sway bar to the optimal operating angle. Rounding out this kit are brake line relocation brackets, 1.25″ tall rear coil spacers to level the stance and optimize the factory progressive rate coil springs and your choice of BDS 5500-series or Fox 2.0 performance gas shocks. Extended stainless steel brake lines, bump stops and spherical sway bar links are supplied along with all the necessary hardware. In the rear a triple stage leaf pack and 2″ rear block maximizes capability and towing capacity without effecting ride quality. After 2 years of faithful service BDS is selling Project Slate, our workhorse 2013 RAM 3500. While its served us valiantly over the last couple years as a show hauler, promo truck, and test mule for new product development and show, its time to let this late model Cummins go and bring on the next project. We bought this truck new back in 2013; one of the RAM HDs equipped with the new radius arm front suspension. It gave us a leg up in the development and first-to-market releases of 2” leveling and 4”, 6”, and 8” suspension lifts for the late model RAMs. In Fall of 2013 the decision was made to transform this into the bad ass show piece it is today. Within 4 short weeks the truck was transformed into Project Slate and shown at the 2013 SEMA Show in Las Vegas (watch the buildup videos). After hauling our displays and vehicles out to SEMA this RAM took its spot among the other show rigs raising tons of interest at the show. Since SEMA ’13, Project Slate has been used as our primary show hauler attending events around the country including Easter Jeep Safari, 4Wheel Jamboree Series, Jeep Beach, Carlisle Truck Nationals and numerous dealer shows. With 29,500 miles on the odometer, this Cummins has earned a place in the heart of the entire BDS crew. Its been featured in multiple publications with a feature story in Diesel World Magazine and numerous ads for several companies.

At first glance it looks like a lifted late model 2011+ Ford Excursion, but then you remember Ford axed these behemoths back in 2005. Then you hear that rattle of a 24 valve Cumins from beneath the hood and realize there’s more than meets the eye with this matte gun metal gray 2001 Ford Excursion. Dreamt up by Brian and Rachelle Arnold from Rok-Tek in Oregon City, OR this build came together from a need for a true family “excursion” vehicle with room for the whole family and gear. While they thought of picking up a new 4-door Super Duty to build, upgrading the family’s Excursion seemed like a great opportunity to create something functional, familiar and above all unique.

Starting life as a 2001 Ford Excursion, this rig went under the knife early on heading to Diesel Conversion Specialists to swap in the 24V 5.9L Cummins out of a 2001 Dodge Ram. The engine is mated up to a 4R100 transmission and stock t-case that gets monitored by an Edge juice attitude cts along with receiving a cold air intake, Sinister Diesel intake elbow and a FASS titanium 150 fuel pump. Tranny mods include a PCS controller and Billet Triple disc converter. Keeping true to its roots this Excursion is still running the stock Dana 50/Ford 10.5 axles with 4.30 gears and upgraded Powerstop ceramic pads. Giving this rig its new stance is a BDS 8” full leaf spring lift kit featuring Glide-Ride springs for great performance and flex offroad with quiet smooth ride while on. Up front a pair of BDS-5500 series shocks and dual BDS steering stabilizer control the ride with 37×12.50×22 Atturo Trail Blade M/Ts mounted up on 22×10 V Rock Reactors.

On to the exterior of this Excursion the most notable change is the 2015 Ford Super Duty front clip that was added to include new fenders, hood, core support, grille shell and headlights. In place of the F250 grille a Rok-Tek R-series grille was mounted and the stock bumper was swapped out for a Hard Notched Customs winch ready bumper with Rigid D2s lights and a Superwinch Talon 12.5. Bushwacker pocketstyle flares were modified to fit the fenders and in the rear a Hard Notched Customs bumper was fitted with addition Rigids. Up top this Excursion features a massive Rok-Tek safari rack with 50” Rigid lightbar for ample room to haul gear on long trips and offroad adventures.

This Excursion is an awesome example of breathing new life into an older ride. Great job by everyone involved with this frankenstein Ford Excursion to transform it into the family hauler it is today with unique styling and bulletproof powertrain.
