King of the Hammers 2019
The BDS team arrived in Hammertown a full week before the EMC race at King of the Hammers. A week might seem like a long time, but to prepare for this race takes months, and that last week is when the course maps are finally made public, creating a scramble to pre-run as much of the course as possible, all while tuning the truck for top performance based on the different sections of track that are being used each year. Team 4502, led by driver Kevin Sterns, had yet to finish the worlds hardest off road race, so the strategy this year was just that. Finish the damn thing! With that in mind, meticulous preparations were made to the 700+ horsepower beast throughout the week. Overland Adventure
May 2019 brings the first ever Four Wheeler Overland Adventure! This event will start in Wickenburg, Arizona on May 13, 2019 and will fill three days with off-roading, camping, and Arizona’s stunning scenery. A professional guide has crafted the route to include a variety of terrain for any level of skill and overlanding vehicle sizes. After the three-day off-roading adventure, Overland Adventure will host a banquet and free access to the 2019 Overland Expo West event. This event is the official event partner of the Overland Adventure. Ranger Builds of SEMA 2018
Its an exciting time in the mid sized truck world as the Ford Ranger returns to the great US of A for 2019. While at the 2018 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, we took some time to visit our favorite 2019 Ford Ranger builds, including our very own, #ProjectRangerX. Most of these builds were featured in the Ford booth, and almost all of them featured BDS Suspension Systems on them. These lift systems will be making their way into the market in the near future. Kevin Stearns Finishes 3rd in the Ultra4 Racing National Championship
Ultra4 Racing is an unlimited, 4-wheel drive, endurance racing challenge that takes place anywhere from the trails of the Hammers, to the barren wasteland of Nevada, to the hills of Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Kentucky. These are some of the baddest and toughest races on the planet. We are proud BDS Suspension‘s sponsored driver and owner of Tilden Motorsports, Kevin Stearns, who finished 3rd in this race that was at the Wild West Motorsports Park over the weekend. Kevin raced well in this past weekends race. While there were some set backs in the qualifying race, where Stearns had a hand injury, he was still able to come from the back and finish in 6th. State Congressman, Tim Walberg, visits BDS Suspension
It’s always a honor when we get a special visitor to our home base here in Coldwater, MI, but this past Friday the excitement radiated throughout the town when a Michigan State Congressman, Tim Walberg, came to visit our facilities. Tim Walberg is the State Congressman Representative for the 7th District of Michigan. BDS’s take on their new Milestar Patagonia M/T
Recently, we were in need of some new tires for the BDS FJ Cruiser. This vehicle belongs to, and lives with our Rocky Mountain Rep in the mountains of Colorado, so due to the 4 seasons and the technical trails he was pretty picky about what tires he wanted to run on the Toyota. After doing some research and reaching out to some fellow off-roaders, he decided to go with the new Milestar Patagonia M/T. He decided on that tire for a couple of reasons. One, its an aggressive tire with a unique tread pattern. Two, in today’s market it is hard to find a quality tire that isn’t going to bankrupt you for a set of 5.
