BDS hit the road over the weekend heading all over for a slew of offroad events and among them was the East Coast truckin’ Nationals in Petersburg, VA. BDS Rep Mike Rogers made the trip out in the BDS Ram 2500to hang out with distributor Davis Offroad and take part in the events. Davis Offraod has been a BDS distributor for the last couple years building some Bad Ass Rides in the Richmond, VA area and have a number of them on display and racing in the event. The Virginia Motorsports Park played host to this event that brings in thousands of trucks for a weekend of diesel smoke and burnt rubber.
The 2-day show consists of Friday night truck and tractor pull followed by a Saturday chalked full of diesel drag racing, show ‘n shine competition, sled pulls, dynos, burnout competitions, great food and vendors on site. Robby Bryant, a Davis Offroad customer sporting a 6” BDS lift on his 2008 Super Duty brought home top honors during friday nights stock class pulls. Saturday had great weather bringing in large crowds for the events as many came out to watch Schied Deisel’s truck put down a national record for speed of a diesel motor going 203mph on the 1/4 mile track. For a change in pace from the polished show rigs crowds gathered throughout the day to watch the tough mudder truck racing set up on the back half of the motorsports park. A big thanks to Davis Offroad for inviting us out and to everyone that stopped by to check out the booth.
BDS Suspension returned to Mesick, MI for the 11 Annual Jeep Blessing hosted by the Cadillac Jeepers. Each year the event grows and this year continued that trend with Jeeps of all shapes, sizes, colors and years were in attendance. Heck, there were plenty of non-Jeep vehicles taking part in the weekend of 4wheel action. We love making the short trip up from Coldwater, MI each to take part in this event to see past customers and hearing stories of where they take their BDS-equipped rigs. A record attendance with 1108 Jeeps signed up for this 1-day festival. With trails like the new Chadville open and other being updated and improved the Jeepers were excited to throw it into low range and play out on the rocks. After a morning rain the ever popular mud pit brought in quite a crowd all day to see who could make it through the slimy pit. In the afternoon the sun came out and the it warmed up making for a great event.
BDS set up in the vendor area to show off some of the new products and chat with the event attendees. Congrats to Kari Dunlap for taking home the $100 BDS gift certificate and thanks again to everyone that stopped by the booth and took advantage of our show specials.

A few weeks back, the BDS Suspension backed Desert Concepts race team took on the prestigious Mint 400. Over the years the Mint has built a reputation for being one of the toughest desert races in the states bringing the top racers from around the country and beyond to compete. The Mint is more than a race, it’s an experience. In the days prior to event Fremont St. is taken over as offroad racing’s converge on Las Vegas. KOH founder and car owner, Dave Cole piloted the #4454 against the pack of 325 entrants, bringing home a 2nd place in class finish despite having mechanical issues, electrical gremlins, and down right bad luck. Check out some of the in car footage from the start of the race with Desert Concepts and the #4454 car:
