When we last left off BDS’s Project Ascension had just been finished up and BDS’s Nate gave a walk around of the truck in the studio before we loaded it up in the rain and headed West for the cross country road trip in route to Las Vegas forth 2016 SEMA Show. Packed full of displays, new products, and promotional materials this 2017 Ford Super Duty had a date with destiny where it was slated to debut in the BDS booth #30204 at SEMA. We hit the road Wednesday night to push through the night for\u00a0the first leg of our 30hr haul out to Vegas. The truck road amazing despite all the gear loaded in the bed and backseat\u00a0and the canvas top kept everything dry for the drive out. Along the way the crew made a few stops to see BDS dealers and show off the new company whip. Everyone that took a turn behind the wheel gave the seal of approval saying they loved the design and ride quality this\u00a0new 6″ 4-link coilover system offered; we’re excited to get this kit out to market soon so others can see the BDS difference.<\/p>\n

With us making good time on our way out we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to hit the trails in our favorite wheeling spot, good ‘ol Moab, UT. Over the years its become almost initiation for any of the BDS SEMA builds to hit the trail in Moab before getting debuted at SEMA. While we’re not tackling the toughest obstacles that Moab has to offer, Hell’s Revenge and 7-Mile Rim trails offer challenging terrain to test out this new truck’s capability. Even loaded down with the gear this truck performed flawlessly and the 38″ Nittos offered plenty of traction on the red rocks before we got back on the highway where they offered a smooth quiet ride for the last leg of the highway cruise out to Vegas.<\/p>\n

We made it into Vegas Saturday late afternoon and got underway with setup for the 2016 SEMA Show with Project Ascension the buzz among everyone that stopped by the booth.
