As has become the norm with LST, rain and colder conditions did put a bit of a damper on the party, but with pockets of sunshine and an enthusiastic crowd we made it out to take part in all the action. The show boasted around 100 vendors set up, with BDS among them. The three day festival brought in around 25,000 spectators and about 2000 show vehicles scattered througout the fairgrounds. This show has a mix of vehicle builds from trucks from so low they drag frame, trucks so tall you can walk up underneath of them, vintage classics, restomods, daily drivers, rat rods and everything in between. The only rule&#8230; no stock vehicles.<\/p>\n\t<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"853\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eNw1B6pzDpc\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe>\n<h2>\n\t\tOur Rigs at the Throwdown:\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>Among the thousands of vehicles around the show was a great turnout of BDS equipped trucks. In the BDS booth we had 4 killers builds on display which included:<\/p>\n<strong>Yvette&#8217;s 2019 RAM 2500:<\/strong><br \/>\nEquipped with the newly released <a href=\"https:\/\/bds-suspension.com\/product?kid=1727H\">BDS 8&#8243; 4-link lift system<\/a> with FOX shocks and stabilizers, this RAM commands attention. Other notable features include Fab Four front and rear bumpers, a Warn 16.5ti winch and a whole lot more.\n<strong>Fransisco&#8217;s 2021 Ford F150 Limited:<\/strong><br \/>\nThis rig is the perfect example of new generation F150 potential. While the 24&#215;12 Forgiato wheels and 35&#8243; Fury tires are more on the showy side of the spectrum, <a href=\"https:\/\/bds-suspension.com\/product?ma=3&amp;mo=59&amp;ty=1&amp;yr=2021-2022\">BDS 6&#8243; Coilover System<\/a> is built to perform and offer a great ride quality.\n<strong>Ross&#8217;s 2017 Ford Super Duty: <\/strong><br \/>\nSitting on 38&#215;15.50 Fury&#8217;s wrapped around 26&#215;16 Ruthless Forged wheels, this F250 has a <a href=\"https:\/\/bds-suspension.com\/product?ma=3&amp;mo=21&amp;ty=1&amp;yr=2017-2019&amp;kid=1580F\">BDS 8&#8243; coil over lift system<\/a> powder coated candy red as well as color matched logos, rock lights, and a full JL audio system. This Super Duty demands to be seen and heard.\n<strong>BDS&#8217;s 2019 Ford RangerX:<\/strong><br \/>\nBuilt back in late 2018 for the SEMA Show, RangerX is the world&#8217;s only crew cab\/long bed new Ranger (<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.bds-suspension.com\/?cat=1204\">see how we built it here<\/a>). This truck is fitted with the <a href=\"https:\/\/bds-suspension.com\/product?ma=3&amp;mo=25&amp;ty=1&amp;yr=2019-2020&amp;kid=1547H\">BDS 6&#8243; Coilover System<\/a> rolling on a set of 35&#8243; BFG KM3s&nbsp; along with Warn bumper\/winch and a Knapheide utility box ready for motorsports adventures.\n<h2>\n\t\tThe Lone Star Experience:\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>We rolled into town on Thursday to setup our vendor space and prepare for the weekend event. Conroe, Texas was mid-takeover as spectators and vendors made their way into town. Most restaurants had a healthy mix of lifted trucks, slammed rides, and some exotics out and about.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DAY 1:<\/strong> On Friday the rain came, but none seemed to be bothered as vendors setup tents and merchandise, spectators began to make their way into the fairgrounds. Once we had our booth complete, our swag bags ready to hand out, and our rigs spread out across our show space, it was time to explore.<\/p>\n\t<p><strong>DAY 2:<\/strong> Saturday is the main day for this event. Following some post-show activities around Conroe everyone made their way back to the show for day 2. The fairgrounds were much busier and the rigs filled the street and the footpaths. The parade route around the show was a traffic jam of the coolest and most unique rides you&#8217;ll find around. It&#8217;s clear that Lone Star Throwdown has grown as an event in comparison to previous years. In defiance of the weather it seemed that the show had gotten bigger, badder and louder.<\/p>\n\t<p>This show is known for having outlandish builds, but the display that really stood out to me the most among the 2000 plus cars in attendance were the <a href=\"https:\/\/modmafia.com\/our-gallery\/\">MOD MAFIA<\/a> Hummers.<\/p>\n\t<p><strong>DAY 3:<\/strong> Typically at these types of events the Sunday crowd is a little bit slower to roll in, but this year, with the sun finally coming out the attendance picked up. The crowds doubled as everyone made it out to check at everything the event had to offer. The booth stayed busy as customers stopped by to grab a swag bag, talk truck and get their product questions answered.<\/p>\n\t<p>Eventually, as the sun tucked behind the clouds again it was time to pack the trailer and our tow rig, say goodbye to new friends, and begin the long drive back to Michigan. A huge thanks to everyone that made it out for Lone Star Throwdown and stopped by the booth to chat with the team. While we would have preferred it to be a little warmer and a little dryer, this event is always one we enjoy making it out to.
