From 2&#8243; to 8&#8243; lift heights, leaf springs to 4-link conversions, and FOX coil-overs, the BDS brand has been continually evolving to meet the demands of the aftermarket. As those demands change from trail riding and rock crawling to overlanding and high-speed desert the products offered will continue to cater to those needs. While that doesn&#8217;t mean giving up on the traditional 4-6&#8243; lift kits that are the bread and butter, you will see more performance-driven products coming to market like coil-over conversions, premium shock options like the aluminum FOX 2.5 Performance Elite (PE) series shocks for more applications, and well, special projects like this&#8230;<\/p>\n\t<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"853\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/k84RrIuQtdQ\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/k84RrIuQtdQ\" data-rel=\"lightbox-video-0\"><strong>Watch Reveal Video<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nCheck out the complete truck!\n\t<p>More than a year in the making, the BDS engineering team saw a need in the market for more high-speed offroad performance suspension options. Alongside the shock experts at FOX, the BDS team has pushed the envelope to design, torture test, and ultimately validate a new 3&#8243; Velocity Series long travel IFS system for the late model Chevy\/GMC 1500 trucks.<\/p>\n<p>With SEMA here, it seemed like the right time to show what they had up their sleeve and debut Project Velocity, a late model Chevy Silverado 1500 outfitted with the 3&#8243; Velocity Series long travel system, rear trailing arms, and FOX 3.0 Factory Race Series coilovers at each corner with clearance for 37s. Designed as a complete solution for late-model GM1500 trucks, this kit will be offered in multiple configurations. The setup bolsters 3&#8243; increased front track width per side, with up to 14.5&#8243; front wheel travel and 15.5&#8243; vertical rear wheel travel (18&#8243; articulated). Built to tackle the desert while offering plush on-road comfort, the team at BDS is expecting mid-late 2023 to be shipping production kits.<\/p>\n<p>For more on this Project Velocity check out the videos and spec sheet attached.
