Well it’s been about a week since BDS Suspension has made it home from the 46th annual Easter Jeep Safari. The stack of paper on my desk from being out all week is slimming down and I thought it was would be a good time to recap the weeks events filled with photo shoots, magazine events, long days out on the trail, great food & drinks, a huge vendor show and $200,000+ raffled off to event goers.<\/p>\n

Each year during the week leading up to Easter is taken over by thousands of 4wd enthusiasts looking for some off-road excitement. What started as a way to promote tourism to a new demographic has since developed into the Mecca of off-road with the Red Rock 4Wheelers<\/a> taking the lead to host the event each year. While the event is called Easter Jeep Safari, it is not a Jeep exclusive event. Hundreds bring out Toyotas, Fords, tube buggies, quads, and all types of other capable off-road vehicles. JKs were the most popular to see out on the trail, with everything from stockers to race vehicles hitting the trail for the weeks events. Wednesday was a particularly fun day as the weather was great and we took the tow rig, our 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 running 8” BDS Longarm and 40” tires, out on Posion Spider Mesa for a magazine ride called Fullsize Invasion hosted by FourWheeler Magazine and Off-Road Magazine. The rig performed amazing and took every obstacle without skirting around on the bypasses. While we don’t recommend a full size Dodge as an everyday trail rig, rest assured it is Moab tested.<\/p>\n

As the week goes on more and more flood the small town of Moab, Utah and surrounding campgrounds. With hundreds of miles of trails for hiking and 4wheeling along with breathtaking views, no wonder this event is such a popular destination each year. Jeep even gets in on the action coming out to the event each year to debut new concepts vehicles and customer creations. This year the head turner was the Mighty FC concept which was a modern throwback to the military Forward Control (FC). All week long there are events going on in town, organized and private trail rides, parties going on and sites to see. Thursday and Friday play host to the vendor show as 100+ companies set up to show off the latest products and talk to customers. BDS set up inside with a number of new and current products as well as to show off the next textured black products. We stayed busy throughout the 2 day show talking to customers, hearing stories about where there BDS-equipped Jeeps have taken them and educating new Jeep owners on our products and warranty.<\/p>\n

Each year this event continues to grow and really make this a must see event. As in past years BDS offered up free beers to everyone we came across handing out vouchers out on the trail, in town, at the local parts store, and at the vendor show. Over the course of the week we passing out 750 vouchers. We wanted to thank everyone that stopped to chat with us and for those that took us up on the offer and grabbed a beer over at the Moab Brewery on us! We’re already looking forward to next year, will you be there?<\/p>\n
