SEMA Trucks: Boondock’s JK<\/strong><\/p>\n

Each year the SEMA Show is flooded with amazing automobiles, lifted trucks, lower street rods, resto-mod classics and late model monsters all in the name of automotive customization. There\u2019s something for everyone\u2019s taste from the insane over-the-top to capable daily drivers. BDS Suspension attends this annual show out in Las Vegas and continues to make quite the statement with show vehicles scattered throughout the show grounds on display in exhibitor booths and featured vehicle spots.<\/p>\n

Boondock Bumpers<\/a> arrived at SEMA excited to debut a number of new products for the Jeep JK platform. Calling Oklahoma City, OK home base, Boondock Bumpers has specialized in custom bumpers for a variety of fullsize trucks for years. The 2010 Wrangler Unlimited JK they had on display marks their expansion into the Jeep market with a number of parts to enhance the aesthetics while providing offroad protection. Right off the bat, the first thing noticed on this JK is the airbrush work. \u00a0With countless hours invested the panels of this Jeep were transformed into the custom work of art they are today. Besides the paint job,\u00a0this Jeep features a BDS 6.5” long arm system with blue powdercoated control arms and a dual 9500 steering stabilizer up front. The stock Dana 30\/44 axles have 4.56 gears and Auburn ECTED electric lockers stuffed in them. For tires and this Jeep has 37×13.50×20 Toyo M\/Ts mounted on 20×10 RBP Furys.<\/p>\n

With the stance taken care of, the build switched gears to focus on the exterior. The stock plastic bumpers were swapped out for a set of Boondock bumpers with the front housing Rigid flushmount LEDs and a 9500lb recovery winch. The traditional 7-slotted grill was replaced by a RBP mesh unit along Truck-Lite LED headlights and smoked corner lights. Bushwacker pocket-style flares were then added for additional tire coverage and a pair of Boondock rails serve as both steps and rocker protection offroad. Lighting up the night is a pair of windshield mounted Rigid D2s and a 50” SR Lightbar on the roof. The stock 3.8L received help from a Bully Dog GT tuner, K&N cold air intake, and Magnaflow exhaust while an Optima battery gives it plenty of juice to run all the lighting and electronics.<\/p>\n
