Coldwater, MI\u2014June 25, 2014\u2014<\/strong>BDS Suspension has redesigned it’s suspension lift systems for the 2001-2010 Chevy\/GMC 2500\/3500 HD 2WD trucks to now feature the high clearance, no torsion bar drop drop design. These new 7″ systems\u00a0maximize ground clearance while creating the ideal suspension geometry for improved offroad performance without sacrificing on-road drivability and handling characteristics.<\/p>\n

Up front this new 7″ system utilizes a pair of\u00a0one-piece 1\/4″ steel high clearance cross members and support braces to create a sturdy subframe. A pair of CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles dwarf the factory units while the lower control arm mounted torsion bar relocation brackets keep the the torsion bars tucked tight\u00a0to the chassis to maximize ground clearance. These relocation brackets integrate a repositioned bump stop designed for use on this 7″ system and work with the The kit also includes new stainless steel brakes lines, extended sway bar links, and your choice of BDS 5500 or Fox 2.0 gas shocks at all 4 corners. An optional front skid plate is available as well to protect vital front end components and finish of the looks of this system.<\/p>\n

Out back the kit is offered with 3″ or 5″ rear block kits to achieve your designed stance. Available for both top mounted overload equipped trucks and models without, the 3″ kit uses the standard rear block while the 5” option uses an integrated bump stop pad and u-bolt flip kit for a stronger design and maximum clearance. As with all BDS suspension systems this 6.5″ high clearance lift kit is backed by the Factory Protection Plus<\/a> Program offering BDS’s exclusive no fine print warranty and a 5-year 60,000 mile drivetrain warranty free of charge.<\/p>\n
