Every year at SEMA, Ford makes a bold statement about its commitment to the Automotive Aftermarket with some exceptional custom trucks. From its sprawling main hall display, to the tire-shredding excitement of “Ford Out Front”, the Ford Motor Company showcases its passion for automotive customization and proves that it knows how to stand out from the pack. 2021 was no different and Ford had a potent weapon joining the fleet this year — the all-new 2021 Bronco. With an assortment of Broncos on display, as well as a new “crate” electric motor plus the new F150 Lightning on display, Ford had a solid footprint around the show once again. A ton of Fords could be found around the show, from race-prepped Ultra 4 Broncos and drift-ready Mustangs to mile-high Super Duty trucks, cherry resto-mods blue ovals, and next-gen future tech. BDS has prided itself in offering a wide array of…

It’s safe to say the all-new 2021 Ford Bronco dominated the limelight at SEMA in 2021. Easily the most anticipated, the most accessorized, and the most in-demand vehicle, there were north of 70 of them on display around Las Vegas Convention Center. As a show that’s known for pushing the envelope with new and emerging (right or wrong) industry trends, SEMA delivered once again. From lifted and adventure-ready to over the top and borderline impractical, this year’s SEMA Show had Broncos of all kinds, old and new, mild to wild. Starting out in Ford’s booth, there were five custom-built Broncos with a mix of 2Dr and 4Dr models as well as three Bronco Sports on display this year. Obviously a personal favorite of ours, the Fire Command Bronco garnered a ton of attention out at the show. Its a modern throwback to the original brush fire trucks built from Broncos.…

While we were out west for the SEMA show, the crew at BDS could not resist the urge to go wheelin’. For this adventure, we chose southwestern Utah — which may be the most remarkable off-road sanctuary in the United States. If you’ve never been to Washington County, it’s home to one of the most epic national parks in the country, Zion National Park. In and around Zion, the scenery changes every few miles, and the geography offers every type of terrain imaginable. Sandstone and limestone rock ledges are framed by coarse gravel trails with rocks the size of softballs that stand straight out of the earth. If you are looking for a milder off-road trail, Washington County offers the “road” to Toquerville Falls. Locals rave about the beauty of Toquerville Falls, and we can confirm that it’s one of the best views in the area. Expect a fun, scenic…

Willys on BDS Suspension

The hottest trucks at SEMA are always running BDS Suspension including our new Bronco. This year is going to be a bit different. While the SEMA Show is on, attendance from industry professionals and exhibitors may be down as concerns and regulations surrounding the pandemic linger. FOX Factory — the parent company to BDS — is among the many companies not exhibiting in 2021. While we won’t have a booth for in-person meetings, FOX and BDS will still be everywhere with dozens of vehicles placed throughout the show. Most of these trucks are spotlighting new and soon-to-be-released products from BDS as well as Zone Offroad, JKS, Crawltek, and FOX. Of course, keep an eye out for the BDS Fire Command Bronco — a one-of-a-kind “half cab” pickup that is decked out in full fire/rescue gear. It’s a throwback to the old-school Broncos that would lead the charge into extreme environments…

Earlier this year we had the pleasure of hanging out with the one and only 2018 JL Chase Truck built by the team at Bruiser Conversions out of Florida. Yes it resembles a Gladiator on steroids, but it started life as a Wrangler JLU long before the arrival of the JT where the crew cut and customized it into this ultra capable, purpose built Jeep chase truck with an LS under the hood, BDS suspension and 42″ BFGs. This Jeep is running an assortment of accessories, plenty of trail proven bolt-on accessories and gobs of one-off fabrication. Outfitted with a full workshop worth of tools, gas, welder and more right in the bed, this go anywhere Jeep made its debut at the 2018 SEMA Show in Warn’s booth. If you remember back to those pre-COVID days, this Jeep made quite the splash, check out the original walk around video following…

When it comes to fullsize truck, the RAM HD’s with their workhorse 6.7L Cummins are oftentimes a crowd favorite. Stout truck, powerful motor and a factory 4-link suspension with solid axles. Ray had bigger plans for this 2012 RAM 3500, so he turned to BDS and upped it with a BDS 8″ long arm system along with the FOX shocks and stabilizers to fit the 40s. From there crew at TriState Line-X added a slew of acessories, performance mods, armor and more. All in all Ray has configured his build to meet his needs, handle his on/off road adventures, tow, commute and more making this an awesome daily driver built for use and abuse.
