BDS 2018 Jeep Wrangler JLU in Punk’N Orange

The Build

As Easter Jeep Safari 2019 was getting closer, we felt inspired to take a new wrangler and properly make it trail ready by stripping all the way down to almost just the frame. We wanted to show people that you can build up a sport model wrangler to be one of the most capable rigs out there - granted we changed just about everything on that jeep, but it made for one bad ass rig in the end.

This 2018 Jeep Wrangler JLU made its debut at the 2019 Easter Jeep Safari. The experience out at Easter Jeep Safari never disappoints. With the beautiful scenery that Moab has to offer and the iconic offroad trails, there are few places in the world that can give you the same feeling when you are wheeling. Being able to take this jeep there was a great chance to see what it's made of, as well as grab some really great photos.

The Jeep handled the trails in Moab without breaking a sweat. With proper axles, gearing, and suspension; it made it very easy to move those 40” Nitto tires along. This gives the jeep all sorts of grip and having our 6” long arm lift system gave the jeep the right amount of ground clearance and articulation.  We felt this Jeep could tackle just about anything we threw at it, including some high-speed sand dune fun that you can see in the video.

Moving forward, the plans for this Jeep are plain and simple, go around the country hanging out with Jeep enthusiasts, and wheel some fun trails whenever we can. Be sure to follow along on this Jeep's adventures through our social media platforms.

So why the no release of the JL long arm? I had one on my JKU and it rode nice…was wanting the same on the JL.

Hey Ray,
Thanks for reaching out. We’ve had some realignment within our family of brands. This long arm was an early prototype at the time of this video and has since been moved over to release through our sister company JKS Mfg. Expect to see their JL long arm kit available in the next couple months.
