BDS Featured Rides: 2017 Ford Super Duty | Project Renaissance

If you live in the Southeast region of the US, you may recognize this guy or this truck! Brad is our Territory Rep and he is driving the BDS 2017 Ford F250, nicknamed Project Renaissance. This rig made its debut at the 2019 Daytona Truck Meet. Since then it has been to several other shows including: Scrapin The Coast 2019, Rocky Top Diesel Shootout 6, Rudys Diesel Fall Event, The Petit Le Mans, and Lone Star Throwdown 2020. We are itching to get this rig back out to some more events and shows across the country. Brad has been in the industry 16 years.

Brad's interest in the industry started at his very first NOPI car show as a kid. Out of highschool he worked as a tech in a shop, from there he got into sales, management, and even owned his own shop for a while. In 2013 he built his own SEMA rig, which debuted in the American Force booth. In 2017 Brad started his journey with BDS. Since then he has been growing his territory and building relationships with customers dealers.

Project Renaissance is always getting complements when out on the road. People of all ages and backgrounds are always coming up to ask questions. For current specs check out the tab on the right  --------->

Hi I have a 2020 Ford F-350 short bed with a 6” lift , I have a 45’ toy Hauler fifth wheel, I just sold my 2012 Ford F-350 with 4 inch lift with nitro ridge grappler tires 37/13.5/20 12” wheels pulled my trailer great ! Bought new 2020 with toyo mud terrain 37/13.5/22
With 12” wheels hooked on to trailer got on freeway started down hill 65-70 mph truck was all over the road felt like back end was on jello Sold toy Hauler bought 29’ fifth wheel hook on it same thing happened , held on to steering wheel tight truck drifted left to right on straight road 65 mph
Not sure what’s going on talked to a lot of different people, different ideas before I go throwing a lot of money at any ideas ? And would the BDS rear stabilize bars help ?
Thanks for your time , Scott

Hey Scott,
difficult to diagnose over the internet as there is the potential it could be a number of things playing a factor here from alignment specs, tire balance, the width of the wheel/tire combo, possibly something not installed correctly, etc. A steering stabilizer would likely help, but ultimately there’s likely something else affecting the handling. You are welcome to call in to chat with our tech support team with more info at (517) 279-2135. That said you may be better off driving to your local BDS distributor to have them take a look at it and offer up recommendations.

I appreciate the response, I live in St George Utah , do you who would be the closest dealer to help me out ?
