COVID-19 Update: BDS Suspension | Shipping Resumes!

BDS-COVID19-01

BDS Suspension Dealers and Customers,

As this pandemic continues to reek havoc on both the public health and safety as well as the economy of this country it is clear that every business has been affected. With that said we thank all of our dealers and customers for their continued support and patience during this difficult time. The state of Michigan has extended and expanded its Stay Home, Stay Safe order which is now in affect through the end of April. While this has forced us to take additional measures to limit staffing across every department, the silver lining here is we are still open for business and are beginning to ship product daily again.

Shipping Resumes – As we resume shipping orders we will still be doing so with a very limited staff. The backlogged orders have begun to be processed first in the order received up through the new orders being placed. While this will take some time to get caught up, please allow for up to 7 business days at this time for in-stock item orders to ship out. Some orders will ship the following day. It’s all based on daily volume and order sizes. Obviously this will improve as we work through the backlog of orders.

Business Hours –  Business hours have been updated to Monday - Friday from 9am - 5pm EST. Our sales, tech support, shipping, marketing and accounting departments will be available. It should be noted that email continues to be the preferred method of communication as the majority of staff is working remotely.

Staffing – At this time several temporary staffing changes have been made. If your sales representative is currently not available another has already been assigned to you temporarily and will be monitoring all emails hourly. You are welcome to continue sending your emails to your regular sales rep, the emails will be forwarded to the sales rep currently handling the territory. Please see the list below of available sales staff currently available to assist.

Hello Courtney, my name is Wayne Dinan and I ordered my kit through Cabot Tire and off-road. I know it has only been 10 days since I purchased my BDS lift kit for my 2018 Ram 1500. The vendor is located in Cabot Arkansas. I was hoping you could help me with an ETA for my kit. If you can offer any help it would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Wayne Dinan

Hi Wayne,
In general we are experiencing some shipping delays, some are due to manufacturing/supplier delays and others are due to a backlog processing orders. I would recommend you contact Cabot who will be able to check with their sales rep with the order number to check status.

Hello
My name is Anthony, I purchased a 6 inch lift with fox coil overs from this company in Nevada. I purchased it on March 24th 2021. Just wondering how much longer its going to be. I purchased a 6 inch lift with 5 inch tail high with upper control arms and fox coilovers for my 2016 ram 1500
Sincerely
Anthony

Hi Anthony,
While we are currently experiencing delays, in most cases its 4-6 weeks currently and up to 14 weeks in some cases when it involves FOX coilovers. You will want to check with the dealer you purchased through to have them check with us based on the order number they have in our system so we can give you an update.

Our customer service team is checking your order status and will follow up with you direction via email

I ordered a 6.5 lift for my 2500, through a vendor (Offroad Warehouse, in San Diego). I was informed it would take 4-6 weeks for the lift to arrive. It’s been about 6weeks, and the vendor cannot give me a time estimation. Would you be able to assist?

Hi Jason,
Thank you for your patience during through the current delays. While I don’t have access to specific order status from the marketing side of the company, ORW is able to call into our sales/customer service team with their order number to check status on your parts. While its not a universal delay for all kits and is affected by supplier delays, raw material shortages and current backlog. That said we’re shipping in stock orders within 2 weeks, most out of stock orders are shipping within 4-8 weeks unless they include FOX coilovers which can extent the lead times to as much as 14 weeks.

I ordered the 5.5″ suspension lift with the Fox Shocks for the Chevy Colorado Z-71 4 door from Custom Offsets on June 25th, 2021. I was just told it will be THREE MORE WEEKS.
I’m not good at math but that is 13 weeks folks. I know things are bad but I never waited this long for anything like this before. There is nothing I can do now, if they say it is 6 months, I will have to wait 6 months.
This is bad, I thought this project would be going together by now, I was wrong.

John,
I do apologize for the delay. While we understand its frustrating to say the least, much of it is unfortunately outside of our control with supplier delays. This isn’t to make excuses, but just explain there are major delays across all industries right now. Demand is high and supply is down currently. In general in stock items are shipping within a week, out of stock BDS parts are currently 4-8 weeks estimated delay, and upwards of 14-16 weeks on kits that used FOX shocks that are out of stock.

Hey Anthony,
I understand your frustration and we’re happy to help here and get to the bottom of this one. Not knowing your order number, what you ordered or any other details I forwarded this over to our customer team to reach out to you directly, look for that email shortly. While we’re still experiencing some delays due to the ripple effect of supply chain interruptions, material shortages, and other challenges, there shouldn’t be anything with a 24-week lead time. Look for them to reach out shortly at the email provided. Thanks

Hey Carter. I ordered a 4” lift for my F250 Jan. 29 2021 from a shop in Houston. They keep telling me parts are back ordered. I see you responded nothing should be a 24+ week lead time. Am I being BSd?

Hey Ben,
While we are experiencing delays, there’s no reason it should be that long. Unfortunately I’m not in a position to assist with tracking down the parts and figuring out what’s going on, but our sales/customer service team should be able to. Contact them with the shop info where you purchased through, kit info and receipt if you have it so they can check into all of this.

Hi order a 8” lift for F250 back in August 2021 from trailbuilt.com was told it will ship in November but just got a update that it’s not shipping till February March now. Can you give me a update on your side and why is it taking so long?

Hey Natasha, not knowing your particular order information in general we’ve been having supplier delays, one in particular with shocks/coilovers. That may or may not be the case with your particular order and I can’t speak to current lead times as it varies by kit components. Trail Built can reach out with the order # for more info
