Ray Hudson and the guys over at HMH Offroad held their annual customer appreciation day on July 24, 2010 from 10:00am to 5:00pm. The festivities took place out at the shop in Northfield, OH and boasted a number of venders including Terry’s Tire, Tim Lally Chevrolet, Wheel Pros & Prohillbilly.com and yours truly, BDS. HMH Offroad raffled off shirts, hats, koozies, and winch throughout the day. The crowd flowed in and out all day. Considering the mild heat index at 104 degrees, there was a healthy crowd ready to spend some hard earned money and take advantage of the great deals. This show gave me a great opportunity to talk to the customers and show off the quality BDS lift kits. Some customers took advantage of the deals and sprung for suspension kits for their trucks and jeeps. Thanks to Al and Chris for their purchases and taking the time to…

This family friendly event attracts Jeepers of all kinds and skill levels. The show-and-shine competition showcased Jeeps of all kinds from Willys to JKs. Hoaks 4Wheel Drive Center, our local BDS distributor to the area was out offering deals on parts and accessories. We made it out to the vendor area to talk with customers and show off our various products. The BDS TJ grabbed a ton of attention, flexed out and still muddy from it’s recent deployment on the…

I always enjoy attending the Bloomsburg Jamboree and there’s always a great turnout. The weather was hot, but no rain so we’ll take it! As usual I worked the show with the gang from Apple Hill 4×4, our local BDS distributor out of Muncy, PA… “What a Crew”. I also ran into a couple of BDS distributors showing off their vehicles. Branden from Krazy House Customs out of Monmouth Junction, NJ & Tim from Rhino Linings of Delaware out of Newark, DE both have awesome show vehicles. Tim won the best interior award in his category… NICE! GM Performance had their big rig and tent set up with a new 1500 Silverado sporting a BDS 4” lift kit. Many of the spectators were asking the GM crew if this was a new factory option!  It was pretty cool they were directing folks over to the Apple Hill/BDS tent for more…

BDS distributor Kakabeka Offroad Centre (Kakabeka Falls, ON) sent us a few pictures and this story about their trip to Moab. With regards to the MOAB Easter Jeep Safari 2010 it was a busy time. Like many of the people we met, we had travelled about 1650 miles to get to Moab. Our first day was spent on the Gemini bridges trail ending up at Dead Horse overlook. WOW what a view. Day two found us out with the Warn Red Letter Crew on the Cliffhanger trail. This was very entertaining with the big steps at the beginning of the trail and many slightly off camber aspects. A bit challenging but passable. Day three found us again out with the Warn Red Letter Crew doing the Seven Mile Rim trail. We were able to meet the boys from BDS Suspension and spent some time talking about the products and the…

The expectations for this all diesel drag race, sled pull, and Truck show were high for myself as well as the rest of the participants and sponsors. Although slowed down by a little rain Saturday, the spectator turn out for Sunday was better than expected. The raw power these supped up  Ford’s, GM’s, and Dodge diesels was awe inspiring. When pulling the sled or screaming down the track at 150 + mph  there was a tall dark cloud of diesel smoke that could be seen for more than a half mile. This was reason alone for most to stop and take a look at what was going on at the track. We enjoyed the crowd that showed up for Sunday’s event. There was a very good mix of spectators and participants from all walks of life, many of which had never witnessed a 8,000 pound truck moving down the race…
