John Hersey High School Update
Progress on the truck has picked up again. We have fixed both rear corners of the truck and patched all the holes in the doors with new sheet metal. We then covered the bottom line of the truck with Herculiner.
BDS Continues Sponsorship
BDS continues it’s sponsorship of the After Burner Racing Team. “AFter Burner” is a 2003 Ford Ranger competing in the Pro Arena series and is owned and operated by Sonny Dohrmund of Davenport, IA. Sonny also owns and operates Sport Truck Specialties in Davenport and can be seen racing in all the Tough Truck series at Special events and at the majority of the USHRA races in Kansas City.
Glowing Bumpers
The students at John Hersey High School designed a custom bumpers using AutoDesk Inventor. They cut out the panels, their school logo, and Jeep with a CNC plasma cutter and then welded it together. Two auxillary lights and 3/4″ D rings were added. They fabricated a back bumper and cut BDS into it. Both bumpers were powdercoated and the cutouts will be backlit.
Truck U Episode #308 “Let’s Lift It”
Bruno and Matt will install a six-inch BDS lift on the Heartthrob Project Truck on Truck Universe on SPEED Channel’s “Let’s Lift It” episode featuring BDS Suspension. The Heartthrob Exhaust Project Vehicle is a 2007 Chevy Silverado 4WD with a 5.3 Liter V8.
