Coldwater, MI: BDS Suspension expands its listings for the late model 2019+ RAM 3500 4WD Diesel trucks with new 3” radius arm systems that are on the shelf ready to ship. Designed to improve the looks and performance of your new RAM, these kits include everything necessary to correctly lift them for improved offroad capability with room for larger tires while maintaining on-road handling.

Up front these systems use a pair of (diesel specific) progressive rate 3" coil springs to provide the extra height and offer controlled performance in the harshest of terrains. A high strength adjustable track bar with center pinch-bolt turnbuckle is supplied to re-center the front axle. A pair of extended length sway bar links correct the OE sway bar operating angle for optimal performance along with extended polyurethane bump stops to limit up travel and brake line brackets to allow full droop. To correct the front suspension geometry at the new height a pair of heavy duty replacement radius arms that bolt directly into the factory location. These new radius arms are massive upgrade to the factory stamped units, using tubular construction and a lower cam adjustment to dial in front end caster. Also supplied are your choice of BDS NX2 gas shocks or FOX 2.0 performance series IFP gas shocks for improved ride and performance.

In the rear of the RAM 3500 kits a pair of 2" steel fabricated lift blocks and extended u-bolts are used to provide a level to slightly tail high stance while maintaining load capacity. Finishing out the rear are a matching set of BDS NX2 gas shocks or FOX 2.0 performance series IFP gas shocks. As with all BDS Suspension kits these include Factory Protection Plus for a limited lifetime warranty, ESC System compatibility, and 5-year, 100,000-mile drivetrain warranty. Ultra4 Racing is an unlimited, 4-wheel drive, endurance racing challenge that takes place anywhere from the trails of the Hammers, to the barren wasteland of Nevada, to the hills of Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Kentucky. These are some of the baddest and toughest races on the planet. We are proud BDS Suspension‘s sponsored driver and owner of Tilden Motorsports, Kevin Stearns, who finished 3rd in this race that was at the Wild West Motorsports Park over the weekend.

Kevin raced well in this past weekends race. While there were some set backs in the qualifying race, where Stearns had a hand injury, he was still able to come from the back and finish in 6th. In the main event Stearns, again, had a setback where he lost power steering. Stearns continued to push as hard as possible for 4 laps and it paid off as he was able to manage a podium finish.

While watching this race you can really see the toughness of the course. The rock obstacles, the blind jumps, and King Hill, which caused a lot of troubles during the races. These drivers have to have top of the line builds in order to clear some of these obstacles along with being quick to take action and find the best path to get over them.

Coldwater, MI—December 18, 2014— BDS Suspension is now shipping a full line of suspension systems for the 2015 Chevy/GMC 1500 4wd trucks. Available in 2″, 4″, 6″ and 6″ performance coilover systems, BDS Suspension offers suspension options to meet your needs and clear up to 35″ tires. These kits carry over from 2014 models to fit up through the 2015 Chevy/GMC 1500 trucks. 2″ Leveling Kit: The 2″ leveling kit is designed to improve the look and performance of the new GM trucks and clear up to 33″ tires. The kit uses an upper strut mount spacer in combination with a small preload spacer to increase the front ride height to eliminate the factory rake. Unlike other lift/leveling kits on the market for newer GM trucks, this BDS kit is engineered to level the vehicle without maxing out the upper ball joint at full droop, and keeps all factory components within their intended ranges for improved performance without sacrificing front end components.

4″ & 6″ Lift Kit: These suspension systems utilize the tried and true high-clearance IFS suspension design that has made BDS the preferred suspension lift for late model GM trucks. At the heart of these new lift kits are a pair of ductile iron replacement steering knuckles and high-clearance crossmembers. These components establish a suspension geometry that not only performs well on and off-road, but are compliant with the factory traction control systems. The suspension also works seamlessly with the redesigned electric power steering system that is standard on late model GM trucks. A 3-piece differential drop kit securely repositions the front differential to correct CV axle angle while allowing for the use of the stock front driveshaft. Front end drivetrain components are protected by the heavy duty 3-piece skid plate system that ties the front and rear crossmembers together for a rigid subframe. 4″ or 6″ front high pressure gas struts are supplied to improve the ride quality and work with your factory coils for predictable performance. Also included in this kit are replacement tie rod ends, longer sway bar links, cv axle spacers, and brake line brackets.

In the rear BDS offers both block and replacement GlideRide leaf springs for both 4″ and 6″ kits designed to give a level to slightly tail high stance. Also included are longer u-bolts, brake line bracket and your choice of BDS-5500 or Fox 2.0 gas shocks. 6″ Performance Coilover System: The 6″ Performance System includes all the high quality components supplied in the 6″ lift kit from the high clearance cross members, ductile iron steering knuckles, 3-piece diff drop kit, sway bar and cv axle correction, heavy duty tie rod ends and your choice of rear block kit or replacement GlideRide leaf springs. This system upgrades the front high pressure gas struts to Fox 2.5 remote reservoir coilovers and rear Fox 2.0 IFP gas shocks. Some of the features of the Fox 2.5 remote C/Os include:

2013-2014 Dodge Ram 1-ton 4WD – GAS

Coldwater, MI—May 28, 2014— BDS Suspension adds to its current RAM HD lineup with 5.5″ lift options for 2013-2014 RAM 3500 4wd gas engine trucks. Available and shipping out now, BDS offers both standard radius arm and 4-link conversion kits to improve the ride, performance and styling of your late model 1-ton RAM and with plenty of clearance for 37″ tires.

Up front, both the radius arm and 4-link systems utilize a pair of 5.5″ progressive rate ProRide coil springs for a great ride and improved performance across all terrains. Due to the unique design of the front spring mounts the coils are left/right side specific. A heavy duty track bar relocation bracket is used to recenter the front axle once lifted as well as a forged drop pitman arm to correct steering angles. Sway bar relocation brackets are used to reposition the front sway bar assembly and the supplied brake line brackets allow for the easy adjustment for the stock lines to be reused with the lift kit. The front driveline angle at 5.5″ of lift causes issues so the kit includes a new transmission crossmember, transfer case indexing ring and billet aluminum front driveshaft spacer to allow the use of the factory drivelines. Out back, the kits include a rear 4.5″ rear block and u-bolt kit for a level to slightly tail high stance along your choice of BDS-5500 or Fox 2.0 performance shocks at all four corners.

The similarities between the radius arm and 4-link conversion systems ends there. The radius arm kit uses a pair of 1/4″ thick steel radius arm relocation brackets to reposition the factory radius arms and correct suspension geometry and caster at 5.5″ of lift. These brackets key off the factory radius arm mount in addition to the frame rail for a stout mounting location for the radius arms.

The 4-link conversion upgrades the factory radius arms to a 4-link design. Benefits include improved stability, increased wheel travel, and better handling across all terrains. The 4-link design limits caster change to less than 1-degree of change throughout wheel travel for better handling, steering control, and overall driveability. Included are a pair of massive frame-mounted brackets precision welded and engineered to locate the new upper and lower control arms to create the optimal suspension geometry for late model RAM trucks. The 4-link brackets are fabricated from 1/4″ thick steel and wrap around the frame as well as the factory radius arm brackets to create an extremely sturdy mount for the new arms. Removal of the factory radius arm brackets is not required allow the brackets to stay intact to speed up the installation time and make these kits reversible. The upper and lower control arms are built from 2″ OD x 3/16″ wall DOM tubing for the strength to take any abuse you can throw at them. They utilize large 2.5″ OD polyurethane bushings to isolate road vibrations and are formed inward to allow for extra tire clearance while repositioning the front axle slightly forward for increase tire clearance to the backside of the front fenders. These arms are finished in a durable textured black powder coating and use grease fittings for easy servicing.

Available Accessories

BDS has a number of accessories available to fit the new 2013-2014 RAM 3500 trucks. Both single and dual steering stabilizer kit are available to meet your on-road and off-road performance needs. Available in 5500-series (white body), 9500-series (brushed stainless body) and Fox 2.0-series, the stabilizers improve drivability by reducing front end shimmy caused by oversized tires and mount above the tie-rod for extra protection when offroad. Stabilizers are available as both an OE replacement single stabilizer and dual kit mounting end-to-end.

BDS also offers a dual front shock hoop kit for a great look and increased dampening capablities. These hoops are fabricated from 1.75″ x.188″ DOM tubing and reinforced to mount 2 shock (5500-series or Fox 2.0).

BDS offers a heavy duty adjustable front track bar to allow you to dial in the the front axle positioning. Constructed from 1-3/8″ solid steel stock this new adjustable track bar is built to handle on and off-road abuse and uses a 1-3/8″-12 fine threaded pinch bolt design turnbuckle to allow easy tuning to properly recenter the front axle for a range of lift heights. The track bar is formed for proper clearance around critical front end components and features gusseted ends for additional rigidity. The ends utilize high-durometer polyurethane bushings with thick-walled steel sleeves for strength and reliability.

Lastly, BDS offers rear traction bar kits to fit the 2013-2014 Ram 3500 trucks. Designed to eliminate axle wrap and keep the rear axle planted during hard acceleration, BDS traction bars are constructed from 1-1/4″ OD tubing and are 100% bolt-on.

In addition to the current suspension lifts and leveling kit options the engineers at BDS Suspension have developed new steering stabilizer kits as well as a heavy duty adjustable track bar to improve the performance of these late model RAM HD applications.

BDS offers single and dual steering stabilizers to meet your on-road and off-road performance needs. Available in both 5500-series (white body) and 9500-series (brushed stainless body) the stabilizers improve drivability by reducing front end shimmy caused by oversized tires. Stabilizers use a twin tube hydraulic design, with 5/8″ hardened chrome shaft and polyurethane bushings. BDS single stabilizer kits mount in place of the OE stabilizer for quick and easy installation to improve handling performance.

Coldwater, MI—January 8, 2013—BDS Suspension has revamped its Ram 1500 4wd lift kits to fit the new 2013 electronic steering rack equipped trucks.

Both the 4″ and 6″ lift kits feature a pair of one-piece, 1/4″ steel, laser cut high-clearance crossmembers and heavy duty differential skid plate creating a solid subframe for improved ground clearance. The new extended steering knuckles feature repositioned steering mounts for optimal steering angles and improving ball joint operating angles. Combined with BDS’s new tie rod ends, the new knuckles integrate with the factory electronic stability control parameters for OE handling characteristics.

The systems also feature pair of strut spacers used to retain factory ride quality. The front of this system includes sway bar link extensions, 3-point differential drop brackets, billet aluminum driveshaft spacer, and stainless steel brake lines.

Due to the OE ride height variances, BDS offers three rear lift options to get your desired stance: 2″ coil spacers, 3″ Pro-Ride coil springs, or 5″ Pro-Ride coil springs. Also included in the rear, the BDS kits utilize a track bar bracket, upper link relocation brackets, and extended sway bar links, brake line brackets and your choice of BDS-5500 shocks or Fox 2.0 performance series shocks. The 4″ lift kit will clear up to 35″ tires while the 6″ kit clears 37″.
