Well its that time of year again… SEMA is right around the corner and we’re kicking off the latest project build, a 2021 Ford Bronco 2Dr to debut in Ford’s booth at Central Hall of the show. Anybody that has followed BDS for a few years may recognize a pattern and you’d be right, we’re teaming up with Ford Motor Company on another build through their Project Vehicle program. This year marks the 5th consecutive project vehicle we’ve taken on. In the past this included SD126 in 2017, followed by RangerX in 2018, then Go Beyond in 2019 and Work/Play for the virtual SEMA of 2020. Ford just made the announcement, they’ll have 4 custom 2021 Ford Broncos and 2 Bronco Sports on display in their booth at the 2021 SEMA Show. Of these 4 Broncos the we’re pumped to finally say that the team at BDS is building one of them, a 2-Door Black Diamond edition Bronco 2.3L Manual to be exact.  The pLan is pretty simple, turn it into an ultra-capable Fire/Rescue themed short wheelbase Bronco truck dubbed “Fire Command”. We’ll have a full build series dropping next week so stay on the lookout for more as the team at BDS overhauls this 2021 Bronco 2Dr for first responder duties. BDS Teases New Bronco Project Build Well its that time of year again, SEMA is almost here and with it the crew from BDS is tackling a new product build. Little surprise here it’s on a 2021 Ford Bronco, the most anticipated vehicle in recent years and arguably the platform that will shake things up in the automotive aftermarket now that Jeep has a worthy challenger. For this build we brought in a plain jane Bronco 2Dr, Black Diamond edition that’ll be transformed into something cool, purposeful and unique. Project Go Beyond Built up and ready for an adventure, BDS’s 2020 Ford Super Duty Overlander dubbed Project Go Beyond is a super cool, super capable truck. 10-months into owning the Work/Play F150 and we’ve had some time to but the get a feel for the truck, the suspension, and the hybrid powerplant. See how it handles for long road trips and push it offroad at events from coast to coast include the King of the Hammers and Daytona Truck Meet. It got all dolled up for Ford’s 2020 Virtual SEMA Special and got down and dirty wheeling countless trails, sand dunes and towing the all new Ford Bronco back to use for product development. BDS’s Project Go Beyond, our overland prepped 2020 Ford Super Duty found its way onto the cover of the April 2021 Issue of Diesel Tech Magazine. This is the latest in a series of accolades for the truck as it tours the country following its original debut at the 2019 SEMA Show in Ford’s booth. Built over the course of about 2.5 months by the team at BDS Suspension, completed overhaulled this once run of the mill Super Duty into a capable overlander packed with all the right gear from the 6.7L Powerstroke diesel, plush leather interior, a custom service box, recovery gear, a BDS 4″ lift kit and massive 40″ tires.
