Each year more than 100,000+ automotive aftermarket industry professional converge on Las Vegas for the biggest industry event of the year, the SEMA Show. Closed off to the general public this show boasts more than 2500 vendors, OEs, and automotive royalty for 4 days showcasing the latest and greatest in automotive customization at the Las Vegas Convention Center and surrounding area. This year marked the 50th annual show with vendors, attendees and media coming from around the world to take part in the action. This year was without a doubt bigger than its been in recent years proving the automotive aftermarket is alive an well. This industry only show boasts something for every automotive enthusiast, from hotrodders to racers, lifted trucks, lowrider, powersports to restoration.
This is BDS Suspension’s 8th year attending the industry show and each the show gets bigger, pushing the envelope, and gets more over the top with manufacturers stepping up to wow the attendees with over-the-top builds, new technology and the latest innovations. BDS had a new booth this year, adjacent to our previous location which was used by parent company FOX. Our new larger 25×90′ booth space (#30204) was shared among our sister companies, BDS Suspension, Zone Offroad Products, JKS Manufacturing, and recently acquired RT Pro UTV. Across our sprawling booth space we had several show vehicles on display including Project Ascension, our 2017 Super Duty that made the cross country journey to SEMA with a stop in Moab to go 4wheeling. Also on display was a Xtreme Offroad Performance built 2016 Jeep JKU sporting the Jspec 3.5″ lift system w/ front coilover conversion, Norcal Motor Company’s ’72 Ford F100 race truck, and the Scosche 2016 GMC Denali HD outfitted with the BDS 6.5″ coilover conversion accompanied by a pair of UTVs outfitted with RT Pro gear.
It could be the free beer, the cool builds, new products or even the personel working the booth, but this year once again was a hugely success show for BDS Suspension and the other brands of Sport Truck USA. New and soon to be released products included additional 2017 Ford Super Duty lift options along with updated listings for several 2017 model trucks and Jeeps. Late model GM1500 SUV kits are now available, additional coilover options coming available and a new line of FOX upper control arms for several applications compatible with BDS lift kits. The BDS RECOIL traction bars were a big hit as well with great feedback from customers.
Around the expansive show BDS had nearly 50 trucks and Jeeps on display in featured vehicles spots and other vendor booths. To say BDS was well represented this year was an understatement. We had our best year yet showing at SEMA with several amazing builds sporting BDS suspension and accessories. A big thank you to everyone that made it out to show off their BDS -equipped trucks at SEMA. Check out some of the trucks from this year’s show and stay tuned for upcoming features of many of these rides online and in print magazines over the next couple weeks and months.
