BDS 4wheeling at SnoFari 2017

Over the weekend a few lucky souls from BDS loaded up and and headed north for some winter 4wheeling. Located just a few short hours north they joined up with others in West Branch, MI for SnoFari 2017, an annual winter 4wheeling event organized by the SoFO Jeep Club to welcome Jeepers and other 4WD vehicles for snow covered trail riding. The event is capped at 60 vehicle signups each year in addition to the sponsors and trail guides with each year the spots filling up quickly. From CJs to JKs, FSJs and Broncos, there’s a good mix of 4WDs at this event each year. BDS has been attending for a several years and we’ve seen our mix of deep snow with sub-zero temps some years while others see more mud than snow with temps well above freezing. Each year its a anyone’s guess what the weather and conditions will be. This year temps were in the low 20s and despite limited snowfall the group had a blast and found challenging trails to navigate. Back again this year BDS brought Project KJ, our 2005 Jeep Liberty CRD on 40s to hit the trail. The KJ performed well all weekend long, digging and clawing its way with the rest of the group to make it through the trail and out the other side before heading back into town to get ready for the awards banquet dinner and raffle.

A big thanks to SoFO and the rest of the group for their hospitality and for organizing this event. We’re looking forward to making it back up for SnoFari next year. Here’s the recap video from this year’s trail ride: [watch on YouTube]
