With his long career in the racing, military, OEM and aftermarket industries, Gale Banks is a household name to most people that are into the automotive scene. With a large about of their focus on cleaner and more efficient diesel performance options his company Banks Power has developed a number of cutting edge solutions with product used on vehicles around the world. So when it came time to fix up the company test rig to get it out on the road, a plain jane 2019 Ford Super Duty with the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel, Gale and the crew at Banks turned to several other trusted companies in the automotive aftermarket for support.
With the goal to beef up the stance without going too big, Banks wanted to find a wheel that tied in a military feel to go along with their military business and they found that in the 20x9.5 Black Rhino Axle wheels in a matte black finish. The design of these wheels is functional, capable, and stylish making these wheels a great option for the upfitting of this Ford Super Duty. When it comes to tires, Banks got their hands on the new 35x12.50 Toyo AT-III tires. These tires offer form and function with a great look and increased traction with a comfortable ride on for going down the road along with a Load E rating to match the load capacity of this truck.
To fit these larger wheels/tires Banks Power turned to BDS Suspension for a 2" Leveling Kit along with a set of FOX 2.0 IFP gas shocks at each corner. The kit comes complete with everything to do the job right which includes a lower bolt-on style coil spring spacer, a heavy duty track bar bracket, ball joint cams and all the necessary hardware. Along with that a set of FOX 2.0 performance series IFP gas shocks to offer quality on and offroad performance.
Finally, Banks Power wanted to make sure to have additional storage in the bed of the truck to keep all their tools/accessories in place when out on the roads and trails. They decided to go with the Decked truck bed storage system making the bed of this rig more functional than before.
Some additional accessories on this rig include Banks 5' Monster Exhaust, Banks RAM Air-Diff Cover for 12-bold Sterling Axle, and Banks idash data monster.
