A few months back we got a call from Swagger Magazine who pitched the idea of building the ideal truck. Something stylish and capable, rugged and refined to accent the type of clientele the keeps up with their magazine. Their goal wasn't to build something over the top, something with every gadget/accessory, or potentially make this into a show truck barely usable on the daily. Rather they wanted a great daily driver ready to hit the trail at a moment's notice. Something that would be right at home going to sporting events, family outings or a night on the town while still getting loaded up for a weekend of camping or towing your boat to the lake.
The truck that emulated all of that is the new RAM 1500 Limited 4WD with the 5.7L eTorque power plant and factory AirRide suspension. This truck just oozes class, style, performance, technology, and comfort. All of that said, it didn't have the stance they were after so in an effort to make the truck stand out and showcase all its features and then some, they reached out to our team at BDS to sort out an altitude adjustment to give this truck clearance for larger tires while retaining full functionality of the Air Ride system. At the time we were still validating fitment on the 2021 models so this worked out to be a great opportunity to bring the truck into our R&D facility for fitment testing while we checked out check out everything this RAM has to offer.
