Ride for Relief is coming to a city near you in this brand new 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4. What started as a grassroots effort to raise awareness in support of our military and first responders has grown into so much more. Jeff Shepard, who runs the organization, travels from city to city on a cross-country tour each year working closely with various military and veteran, fire, police and EMT departments.  The mission - to get the message out about PTSD and advocate for programs to reduce suicide rates and improve health and wellness initiatives nationwide. BDS has had the opportunity to partner with Jeff and his family before, with various truck builds to not only look great and stand out, but also perform great on and off-road.

His current cross country hauler is a 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4. Jeff, a retired officer himself has made it his goal to spread awareness and aide and encourage community support for these valuable men and women who served our country. When it comes to his means of getting around his priorities on the tour rig are functionality and comfort. Starting with the truck, new right of the lot, Jeff added the BDS 4” coilover lift system complete with FOX 2.5 coilovers and BDS upper control arms for the ultimate combination of utility during his off-road adventures and comfort on the long drives between stops. For extra styling points a pair of colormatched Chassis Unlimited front and rear bumpers were added for strength and functionality along with a set of Amp Research powersteps offering easy access to the cab.

Northwest Total Truck completely transformed this beast into the ultimate offroad and touring vehicle. Additional utility on this rig comes from the Twisted Pro lighting for 360 degrees of coverage, upTOP Overland rear rack gear carrying system, Mohave tow hooks, and a sweet powered Retrax bedcover. Traction off highway was never an issue with Fury 35x12.50R22LT wrapped around JTX forged wheels that are powder-coated and to fit the ride4relief theme.

At the end of this build final touches were added featuring a complete custom wrap by HS Solutions, Recon taillights featuring color matched interiors, carbon fiber Borla exhaust tips, and diamond stitched Katzkin seats. The theme even extends to a Sherpa trailer, equipped with Dometic food storage, a cascade vehicle tent, and Dakota Lithium power.

Once you see this rig rolling down the highway, of the beaten path, or making its own campground you can really start to imagine the time and effort that went into the building process. The perfect truck for a man like Jeff, matching his resiliency and efforts in helping spread awareness for Ride4relief across our nation!
