US Army Search & Rescue HD
When it comes to building a US Army Search & Rescue truck to navigate the harsh rocky terrain of the Hawaiian islands, it needs to be a go anywhere, do anything type rig. When the guys at Island Performance & Offroad were given the task of outfitting this Chevy Silverado 2500HD to do just that their choice was the BDS 7″ high clearance lift kit for the strength of the components, additional ground clearance of the no torsion bar drop design, and the heavy duty skid plates to help protect the front end. The truck is also outfitted with 35×12.50 Toyo M/Ts, 17×9 XD Enduro wheels, camper shell w/ rack, dual batteries, Viair constant duty air system to run tools and equipment, and hydraulic pumps to run their soon to be installed winch and jaws-of-life.
