SEMA Trucks: Felt Bicycles/Dragon Aftermarket Consulting F150

Each year the SEMA Show is flooded with amazing automobiles, lifted trucks, lower street rods, resto-mod classics and late model monsters all in the name of automotive customization. There’s something for everyone’s taste from the insane over-the-top to capable daily drivers. BDS Suspension attends this annual show out in Las Vegas and continues to make quite the statement with show vehicles scattered throughout the show grounds on display in exhibitor booths and featured vehicle spots.

While the Ford F150 Raptor is an amazing truck, sticker shock can get the best of some especially when your plans are to swap out many of the parts that make a Raptor a Raptor. Michael from Dragon Aftermarket Consulting had an idea, turn a 2013 Ford F150 Ecoboost into a something extreme, purpose built, and for capable than what the Raptor. Teaming up with Felt Bicycles they turned this F150 into a really head turner with killer styling and the muscle to back it up.

The build started with swapping out the stock sheet metal for FiberwerX glass. Front TT fenders and rear bedsides were installed along with a N-Fab front RSP prerunner bumper and Spyder Auto 40” LED lightbar. A T-Rex X-Metal mesh grill and Spyder Auto projection headlight finish off the front and give this truck its menacing appeal. The suspension comes from BDS, with a 6” high clearance kit being installed on this Ford along with King 2.5 Resi Coilovers, Icon upper control arms and Hellwig swaybars. In the rear the BDS lift features King 2.5 Bypass Resi shocks and Hellwig helper springs. With the extra clearance from the fenders and lift, 38×13.50×20 Toyo M/Ts were installed and mounted on 20×9 BMF F.I.T.E. 6 wheels. To help this rig stop, R1 premier slotted rotors were swapped all the way around along with ceramic pads. Up top, a Thule M.O.A.B roof rack was installed for extra storage and features an onslaught of Spyder Auto LED lighting. In the rear of the truck, the truck features an Infinit Fab rear bumper, Spyder Auto LED taillights, and a bed loaded up with essential gear for any outdoor adventure. Spare batteries, ARB air compressor, camping gear, awning, and more are loaded up on the CargoGlide CG1500HD bed rack. A pair of Felt Compulsion LT3 bikes are ready for action at a moments notice. A set of N-Fab steps were installed to easy accessing the cab. Inside the seats have ben covered in Roadwire Upholstery using a combination of black leather and tan ultrasuede. Sony handles the stereo duties and the rear bench has ben converted to bucket seats with a custom mounted ARB fridge installed. Under the hood the stock 3.5L Ecoboost received extra attention from an AEM cold air intake, Bully Dog triple dog tuner, and a JBA Performance exhaust system.

This F150 is ready for adventure, overlanding, and expoiring the great outdoors. Kudos to the guys from Felt Bicycles and Dragon Aftermarket Consulting for turning this ultra cool concept into reality. For more on this F150 head on over to the BDS Facebook Page.
