BDS Project KJ wheeling on the XOR Moab Madness
Each year the crew from BDS Suspension loads up and heads West to that magical offroading Mecca known as Moab, UT. Â Maybe its the red rock terrain, or the warm spring time temperatures after a long Michigan winter or maybe even the thousands of Jeepers (and other 4×4’s) that flock to the town each Spring for a week of 4wheeling, but its one of our favorite places to attend each year during Easter Jeep Safari (EJS). When it comes to media coverage, this event has plenty, from Jeep in attendance with their much anticipated concept builds to just about every offroad media outlet from magazines, to forums, and TV shows. BDS at Bantam Jeep Fest
This past weekend BDS loaded up the rigs and headed east for the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival. Held just north of Butler, Pennsylvania, this event brought together thousands of Jeepers, for a weekend of family fun activities in the hometown of the birthplace of the Jeep. The event came about a few years ago to celebrate the town and the company that led to the WWII “Jeep”. Back in 1940 the American Bantam Car Company won the bid from the US Army to manufacturer a 4WD reconnaissance vehicle. You can read more about the history online, but ultimately the task of building nearly 600,000 “Jeeps” went to Willys-Overland and Ford to meet the US Army’s deadlines. The 3-day festival includes tons of activities out at the fairgrounds by day and nightly activities like the Jeep Invasion of downtown Butler. 2016 Adam’s Jeep Jam Recap
Along with the other 3 shows the BDS team was out attending this past weekend, we couldn’t miss Adam’s Jeep Jam, an awesome event hosted by long time BDS distributor Adam’s Jeep of Maryland. BDS’s Clark and Justin loaded up and headed east with their sights set on Aberdeen, MD. Over the years the Jeep Jam this has grown into being one heck of an event with roughly 500 Jeeps in attendance, show-n-shine competition, car crush, obstacle course and fun for the whole family. Adam’s own Chuck and Shawn do a great job orchestrating this show each year and welcoming everyone for the festivities. BDS hits the Unlimited Offroad Expo
BDS made the trip to Louisville, Kentucky this past weekend for the 3rd Annual Unlimited Offroad. With the support of the city, this event has already grown into one of the premiere events in the midwest focused solely on the truck/Jeep/UTV off-road market with everything from the recreational to racing level. BDS has been attending this event since the beginning and its exciting to see what the event has become and where it is going. With a massive vendor show full of companies from around the country, expansive off-road course to challenge the drivers, a live XOR Jeep build, Sunday morning church service and special events every night including a downtown vender car-show on 4th Street and a cavern crawl though one of the nearby caverns, beer tasting and more, this event caters to all truck and offroad enthusiasts with fun for the whole family. BDS Heads North for SLSD Jeep Invasion
There’s no denying its show season. The weather is warming up, the days are getting longer and there are trail riding, show-n-shine, and trade show events going on around the country nearly every weekend. This past weekend BDS hit the road for 4 events around the country; (1) Adam’s Jeep Jam in Aberdeen, MD, (2) Unlimited Offroad Expo in Louisville, KY, (3) the Northridge 4×4 Open House in Longmont, CO, and (4) the Silver Lake Sand Dunes (SLSD) Jeep Invasion in Mears, MI. For the Silver Lake Sand Dunes Jeep Invasion, BDS was a bit strapped for Jeep vehicles with all the other events going on so we joined our friends from B&L Motorsports showing off some of our latest products and chatting with customers and attendees. With Spring here and Summer right behind it the 2016 show season is in full swing for BDS Suspension. Over the last couple months we’ve been snow wheeling at SnoFari, hitting the red rocks of Easter Jeep Safari and cruised the beach in flip flops at Jeep Beach and prepped for adventure at Overland Expo and made numerous trips around the country for dealer shows, open houses and weekend trail rides. Next up, the crew from BDS converges on Louisville, KY for this year’s Unlimited Off Road Expo held June 3-5th, This event has exploded onto the scene over the last 3 years bringing in 4×4 enthusiasts, vendors and media from around the country for the 3-day show.
