Timber Crawl 2015
A few weeks back BDS hit the road north along with sister companies Zone Offroad and JKS Manufacturing for the 2015 Timber Crawl near Kalamazoo, MI. The event is held at the snow-free slopes of the Timber Ridge Ski Resort. While we get excited anytime there’s an event giving us a chance to hit the trails in the company Jeeps, this event is special in that it brings people together in support of children fighting cancer. Organized by DC Strong, this year’s event brought out nearly 500 offered enthusiasts in a mix of Jeeps, Toyotas, buggies and a few oversized military trucks to hit the trails. The event also boasted a raffle to to raise money where there were several winners taking home products and prizes from the event sponsors. BDS heads to the Carlisle All Truck Nationals
BDS loaded up the trailer and headed east of of Michigan for the Carlisle All Truck Nationals at the Carlisle Fairgrounds in Carlisle, PA. We’ve been attending this show for  the better part of the last decade and each year the show impresses. From lifted 4x4s to slammed mini trucks, custom semi’s and vintage classics, if you’re into trucks this show has something for you. The family friendly show is attended by thousands annually as they come for 3 days of activities, demos and vendors on site. BDS made the trip out and had a blast showing off some of the latest products, talking to customers, and se our local dealers. Check out some of the photos from the event:
2015 Ultimate Adventure: BDS Recap and Photos Available
Its become somewhat of a yearly ritual with 5 out of the last 7 years attend 4Wheel & Off-Road Magazine’s Ultimate Adventure as the official suspension. Each year (always over the July 4th week) the event is secretly organized in some region of the United States. The location and day to day plan is kept a mystery only the start and end points are known for those that want to drop a trailer for before or after. What isn’t know is how we’ll get there, some days are trail days and spent navigating difficult terrain while others are road days where the convoy covers hundreds of miles to get to the next destination. Road days are always dedicated to the highway as this year we made detours to run local trails along the way, crush cars with a tank, invade military surplus stores, and even a canoe race. Team Wandahsega Racing on top at St. Ignace!

After our rough start to the season, I’m glad to say that we finally had a good weekend! The weather was sunny and clear in St. Ignace for the 40th annual car show and mud runs. This is a very well attended event, and has been for years, the car show draws hundreds of classic and muscle cars. The mud runs also draw a good amount of trucks and spectators as well. The Big Tire Class was the largest and most competitive of the day, 12 trucks strong. We were hoping that our bad luck would turn around, didn’t need any more broken parts! 2015 Ultimate Adventure: 4WOR Photos Posted
What an amazing week on the 2015 Ultimate Adventure. Despite daily rain showers, downpours at times, tornados and other inclement weather we had a blast on the week long, 1200+ mile adventure. This year BDS brought (2) Colorados with a 2011 Colorado trail rig dubbed the Crawlorado built by Pacific Fabrication along with a 2015 Chevy Colorado that served as media support crew throughout the adventure.
