Ever seen a lifted Mini Cooper Countryman? We hadn’t either until it was dreamt up by the marketing team for Dairy Queen and the guys from Attitude Performance in Arlington Heights, IL. DQ wanted a cool way to promote their Mini Blizzard and thought what could be better than a Mini Monster to tour around giving away Mini Blizzards. After devising a plan to join a new 2011 4-door Mini Cooper Countryman to the chassis of a Jeep TJ, Matt and the rest of the crew from Attitude Performance got busy transforming the Mini into the ultimate DQ marketing machine. With an ambitious build time of only 5 weeks, the team had to work feverishly to meet the completion deadline. TDS Recap: Vendor Raffle of $155,000 in prizes
Another TDS is in the books. Once again this event drew in crowds by the thousands for a weekend full of four wheeling, camping, and an amazing raffle. BDS Suspension was on hand for this the 49th Annual Tierra Del Sol Desert Safari (TDS) out in the Ocotillo Wells SVRA Park in Southern California. The event started Friday with a steady stream of RVs and other vehicles pouring into the surrounding lands. In addition to countless trails, washes, and notches in the area, the event host TDS 4WD Club of San Diego had a ribbon cutting ceremony for the newest additions to the off-road park. The new park offers a healthy mix of rock gardens, hill climbs, and off camber trails to challenge everyone from the stock JKs to the KOH purpose-built buggies. TDS starts today and runs through the weekend with the gathering of 1500 off-road vehicles and attendance nearing 8000 out in the Mojave Desert for a weekend of 4wheeling in the Ocotillo Wells SVRA Park in Southern California. The event is hosted by the TDS 4WD Club of San Diego and over the last half century has grown into a must see events, with off-road trails, camping, huge vendor show and more.
