2" Leveling Kits: Specially designed for the new Ranger, this 2" leveling kit is engineered for additional tire clearance and improved performance. BDS distinguishes itself by offering a kit that does not overextend the suspension or driveline angles at full suspension droop (as is the case with other top-mounted spacers and taller leveling kits on the market). The issue with most other kits is an increase in the overall length of the strut assembly, maxing out ball joints and causing the CV shaft/boot to operate at an extreme angle. This common design leads to premature wear/failure of the components. To get around this issue, the BDS kit uses a 2-piece design with a smaller top-mounted steel strut spacer in combination with a preload spacer. The top-mounted spacer installs easily and is finished in a durable black e-coating for a clean appearance. The preload spacer installs below the spring and raises the ride height without extending the overall extended length of the strut assembly. This setup maintains factory ride quality, allowing you to get the most out of your new Ranger's factory suspension.
2.5" Lift Kits: This new system builds off the factory suspension mounting points and offers improved strength, ground clearance, and suspension travel. All components have been engineered in unison to ensure suspension and drivetrain geometry are maintained, rather than other " leveling kits" on the market that just throw in a top spacer that maxes out the angles at droop. The new ride height is the result of a combination of a specially designed top-mounted, steel fabricated, strut spacer in conjunction with a preload spacer for a total of 2.5" of front lift. The reason for the combination is to achieve the correct ride height without increasing the overall extended length of the strut assembly to the point of causing premature wear of the CV axle boots and other front-end components. To further ensure proper drivetrain geometry the front differential is repositioned using relocation brackets. These brackets correct CV axle angle while allowing the use of the factory front skid plates. In the rear, the factory shocks are replaced with your choice of precision-tuned NX2 gas or FOX 2.0 performance IFP gas shocks for improved damping.
3.5" UCA Lift Kits: This new system builds off the factory mounting points and offers improved strength, ground clearance, and suspension travel. Front lift is provided by your choice of 3 options:
- 2-piece strut spacer - top mount and preload to achieve lift within factory limitations, and maintains ride quality.
- FOX 2.0 performance series coilover (non-reservoir) - offers bolt-in design to improve performance.
- FOX 2.5 performance elite series coilover w/ DSC reservoir offers race-proven technology for the best in capability, performance, and tunability.
Also supplied for the front end are a pair of performance upper control arms (UCAs) designed for improved strength and suspension travel. Built from thick wall 1.5" DOM tubing, these UCAs utilize an indexed ball joint cup to reposition the upper ball joints and allow more droop travel. These arms come fully assembled right out of the box with high-quality, greaseable Moog ball joints and Clevite rubber bushings for long life, quiet operation, and superior corrosion resistance over uniballs and heims. Finishing out the front of these 3.5" systems is a small differential relocation to help further improve the CV axle operating angle.
In the rear of these lift systems, the factory leaf springs are retained and a 1" lift comes from a heavy-duty replacement shackle to level the stance. Also supplied for the rear of these 3.5" lift kits are your choice of specially tuned NX2 nitro series gas shocks, FOX 2.0 IFP performance series gas shocks or FOX 2.5 performance elite series shocks with DSC adjustable reservoirs for next level damper performance.
6" IFS Lift Systems: These kits have been built from the ground up to improve performance and functionality. Designed to raise the bar with room for 35" tires, BDS offers these kits with your choice of top-mounted strut spacers or FOX 2.5 DSC coilovers for next-level performance. Kits have been tested and independently verified as compatible with FMVSS No.126 (ESC System) standards.
All 6" systems utilize 1/4" thick laser-cut steel cross members to improve clearance and provide a solid mounting point for the OE lower control arms. The front cross member allows integration of the factory front skid plate as well as a rivet-on stainless steel BDS emblem, allowing you to customize prior to installation. These cross members are paired with the heavy-duty differential skid plate system and sway bar relocation brackets to create a rigid subframe that adds protection for vital steering and driveline components. In place of the factory steering knuckles, a pair of specially designed ductile cast iron replacement knuckles are supplied to maintain proper steering geometry for ESC system compatibility. These connect to the factory steering with a pair of heavy-duty replacement tie rod ends included in the kit. The front differential is repositioned with BDS's multipoint relocation bracket system to secure the front differential and keep CV axle angles at a minimum. A billet aluminum front driveshaft spacer is also supplied along with longer hardware to allow the reinstallation of the factory front driveshaft along with brake line brackets. Unique to BDS a heavy-duty transfer case cross member is supplied to eliminate any potential driveline vibrations at this taller lift height. This cross member also includes a carrier bearing drop to improve the rear driveline angle and allow the reinstallation of the factory driveshaft. The rear lift comes from a pair of 3-5/8" steel fabricated lift blocks designed to level the stance, secured with larger black e-coated u-bolts. Rear brake line brackets and e-brake brackets are supplied and these kits are finished off with your choice of specially tuned NX2 nitro series gas shocks or FOX 2.0 IFP performance series gas shocks to offer improved damper performance.
