BDS heads North, East, South and West for the weekend

It’s that time of year, with truck shows and off-road events going on each weekend and families trying to get the most out of their summer. From wheeling Project KJ out at the Outback Adventure Park (Pennsylvania) to Trucks Gone Wild (Michigan), BDS Distributor Light Line’s Open House (Louisiana) to the Scheid Diesel Extravaganza (Indiana) and Pismo Beach Huckfest (California), BDS was represented well all around the country as offroad enthusiasts clung to their next to last weekend of freedom before school starts back and the fall season begins.

LightLine

Light Line of Louisiana: Of all the trips this past weekend, BDS Rep Travis had the longest haul making the drive down from Michigan to Light Line’s 20th Anniversary event and Open House at their new location. The 2500+ mile trip had stops along the way at Offroad Innovations (ORI)Glass Tint, Hurricane Offroad, Performance Muffler, and Cajun Offroad before making it to Light Line‘s Open House at their new location in Prairieville, LA. The open house ran from 10-3 on Saturday with many coming out to check out the new shop, see some cool rides, and take advantage of great show specials and giveaways. A big thanks goes out to Rickie and his crew for organizing another great show.

Outback Adventure: BDS Reps Ted and Bryce made the 5-hour haul to Eau Claire, PA for the Outback Offroad Adventure, one of a series of events held throughout the year and  at the park organized by Rob and his crew from Meridian Offroad Center. BDS sponsors the park each year and looks forward to making the trip out to wheel the expansive park and catch up with the many friends we’ve made over the years. Each year the park evolves with new trails being cut out and new lines to try. The ever popular Snake Trail, BDS Ravine and House Rock are always popular spots at the park, that took a number of casualties this year as they always do. The BDS KJ performed well out at the park, making it up House Rock and putting on a good show for everyone. There was some trail carnage, but nothing that can’t be buffed out and repaired. All-in-all, a great weekend of 4wheeling out at the park, thanks to the crew from Meridian Offroad and everyone that came out for the event. SDX: BDS Distributor RLC Motorsports made it out for the Scheid Diesel Extravaganza to promote the shop and compete out on the drag strip putting done high-7s in his 6.7L Cummins. This event is always a blast right in the heart of the Midwest.  While BDS weren’t able to make it out to set up a booth this year, a couple employees made it down for the weekend to support it and had a great time checking out the show and racing action.

What started out as a few trucks getting together to launch the dunes has turned into a huge spectacle with factory backed trucks and a “go big or go home” mentality that makes for a great show for those that attend. Many BDS distributors made it out for them event, among them Shocker Motorsports, who just so happened to bring the Shocker Monster Truck. Shocker set up a booth and handed out some BDS swag before taking his turn to tear up the dunes. Videos keep popping up of the truck putting on a great show at Pismo Beach, check out their FB page for more.

Highlights included Cory R pulling off a backflip in his monster S10, Perkins pulling wheelies in his Explorer, King Sling’s high flying freestyle run and plenty of truck carnage.
