SEMA Trucks: Big Truck Mafia’s Project Super Duty

Each year the SEMA Show is flooded with amazing automobiles, lifted trucks, lower street rods, resto-mod classics and late model monsters all in the name of automotive customization. There’s something for everyone’s taste from the insane over-the-top to capable daily drivers. BDS Suspension attends this annual show out in Las Vegas and continues to make quite the statement with show vehicles scattered throughout the show grounds on display in exhibitor booths and featured vehicle spots.

While there has been a trend at SEMA to over accessorize to the point its the norm and to be expected, there’s a lot to say for a tastefully built, super clean, build that uses a cohesive theme throughout like the 2013 Ford Super Duty owned by Austin Mayfield of Big Truck Mafia (BTM). Dubbed “The Heist”, this F250 was parked just outside of the Las Vegas Convention Center grabbing attention and welcoming attendees all week long. Built by Austin with assistance of Arkansas Customs out of Springdale, AR the truck features a number of purpose built components all wrapped up into a killer package.

Up front the familiar front end of this Ford was been transformed with the help of a BTM built mesh LED grill, colormatched Axis Automotive dual projection headlights, BTM front bumper and an assortment of Rigid LED lights. Up top dual roof mounted 50” Rigid e-series and sr-series light bars shine up the night. The extra altitude comes from a BDS 8” 4-link conversion kit using dual Fox 2.0 shocks, and BDS dual 9500 steering stabilizer setup. For wheels and tires, Austin went to Fuel Offroad running a set of their 38×15.50×22 Mud Gripper MTs mounted on 22×12 Deep Lip Nutz. A set of Amp Research retractable steps were installed for easy access into the truck and offer a clean out of sight appearance. Inside, the cab features a custom painted dash accents, a suede headliner and Katzkin leather seats. The exterior of the truck was wrapped with 3M matte gray aluminum vinyl for a cool color that pops when the light hits it. Out back the Heist features a BTM built rear bumper, Recon taillights, and a Undercover tonneau cover. A Bedrug bed liner was installed and pair of Swing Cases maximize the bed storage.

The 6.7L Power Stroke wasn’t neglected, it features and H&S Performance intake, H&S mini maxx tuner, custom exhaust with a BTM exhaust tip. Optima batteries give a extra juice to help power the lights and electronics keeping this Super Duty rolling down the highway. Great work to Austin and the team from Arkansas Customs for turning this concept into reality. To see more on this truck, follow Big Truck Mafia on Instagram and check out the BDS Facebook Page.
