BDS Radius Arm Ram Options2013 Dodge Ram 1-ton 4WD & 2014 Dodge Ram 3/4-ton 4wdColdwater, MI—March 19, 2014— Since the launch last year of redesigned 2013 RAM 3500 and 2014 RAM 2500 trucks BDS Suspension has been leading the industry developing suspension lifts and accessories to enhance the look and off-road performance of the new platform. While most trucks continue to use the standard 68RFE automatic or G56 manual transmission, RAM has introduced an optional Aisin AS66RC heavy duty 6-speed automatic transmission that has gained popularity on the new RAM 2500/3500 trucks. At 6″ of lift and above it is necessary to index the transfer case to allow the front driveline to reconnect and eliminate vibrations. To allow proper driveshaft clearance with the transfer case indexed, a low profile transmission crossmember must be installed. BDS Suspension now offers options for 66RFE/68RFE/G56 (6-bolt) and Aisin (8-bolt) transmission trucks with the release of new 8-bolt transfer case indexing kits to join the 6-bolt indexing kits currently being offered. The new 8-bolt transfer case indexing kit includes a 1/4″ steel replacement transmission crossmember with an integrated adjustable transmission mount. At less than 1/2″ thick the black e-coated indexing ring offers optimal spline engagement and is dual drilled to allow positioning at either 11-degrees or 15-degrees indexed for compatibility with a range of lift heights. Also supplied with the 8-bolt indexing kit is a machined internal shaft seal extension as well as a new shaft seal. Rounding out the 8-bolt indexing kit is a billet aluminum driveshaft spacer and all the hardware needed to complete the installation. This 8-bolt transfer case indexing kit is available as an option with 2013 RAM 3500 and 2014 RAM 2500 BDS 6” lift kits or can be purchased separately to fit with most other lift kits. Hey so I did an indexing ring changed oil in transfer case now it’s coming up with service 4×4 so I’m wondering since the t case is now clocked if I have to raise the oil level past the plug in order for it to reach the encoder motor so the code shuts off

I’m looking to purchase a bds 4” lift for a 2014 ram 3500 with a 68rfe transmission. Based off this article it seems like won’t need the transfer case indexing kit correct?
That is correct, indexing the transfer case isn’t necessary with less than 6″ of lift.
