Hooah to the men and women serving and protecting this great country. To those who have fought, sacrificed, and bled for the red, white and blue. To those who have returned home safely, those injured and to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, this project Raptor dubbed “The Patriot” is for you.
What started as an idea to auction off a Raptor to raise money for a worthy cause quickly transformed into something much bigger. The MobilityWorks Foundation, a non-profit organization that offers transportation support to special needs and disable Americans teamed up with West Coast Customs to design and build a one of a kind 2014 Ford F150 Raptor; one that pays respect to those we have lost while being proud of all those who serve. With a short build timeline before auction, they got after it with custom patriotic paintwork done by Ryan Ryno Templeton and custom stitching on the interior. WCC installed a custom built grille, Bully Dog GT tuner and Magnaflow exhaust system to improve the performance of the factory 6.2L V8. The WCC team approached us about supplying a suspension system to improve the looks and performance of this already desert prepped racer and allow some larger wheels/tires to be installed. While we don’t offer any kits currently for the Raptor, it is one that has been under development and we were able to ship out a pre-production version of the BDS 4” lift system for this truck. To go along with the lift, a set of 37” BFG KM2 tires were mounted up on 20” XD Misfit wheels to finish off this Patriot Raptor.
With the build complete, the truck left West Coast Customs for Dallas, TX where it will be auctioned off this weekend at the Mecum Auto Auction. This truck is going on the auction block with no reserve, with proceeds going to the MobilityWorks Foundation’s Cars for Troops Vehicle Donation Program to benefit disabled US Military veterans and their families. Most of us know disabled veterans in your community if not your own family and this was a great opportunity for all of us here at BDS Suspension to support a great cause. For more information on this Raptor getting ready to hit the auction block head to Mecum Auctions and be sure to watch it this Saturday (September 6th, 2014) at 2pm on NBCSN as it rolls across.
The truck goes up on the auction block at 2pm on Saturday, September 6th during the Mecum Auction in Dallas, TX with proceeds being donated to MobilityWorks Foundation’s Cars for Troops Program. Hey BDS I am looking to get this lift for my 2014 Raptor and I would like to get the same exact setup as this truck in terms of wheel and tire dimensions. What are the exact dimensions of the wheel offset, size, width and the tire sizes? Thank You
Hey Robert,
We mention it in the post, this truck is running the BDS 4″ Lift Kit with 37″ BFG KM2s on 20″ XD Misfits. BFG makes this tire in a 37×12.50×20 and KMC only offers the 20″ Misfit in a 20×9 w/ 5″ backspacing.
