2016 RAM 2500 Lift Kits:

BDS Suspension is now shipping suspension lifts for the 2016 RAM 2500 4WD trucks. Available in 2″, 3″, 4″, and 5.5- 6″ lift heights with other sizes coming soon, these new kits are designed to improve the performance, functionality, and curb appeal of your late model RAM HD while retaining the handling characteristics and drivability RAM owners have come to expect. All kits are offer with your choice of BDS 5500-series hydraulic shocks as well as precision tuned Fox 2.0 gas shocks for superior performance.

2″ Leveling Kit: The 2″ leveling kit uses a pair of heavy-duty fabricated steel coil spacers to level the stance and allow for up to 35″ tires to be installed. The spacers are pitched and indexed to work with the unique coil mount design of the late model RAM HD trucks and are secured to the coil bucket to maintain proper indexing when the coil springs are unloaded. Extended polyurethane bump stops are used to control suspension compression along with your choice of 5500-series or Fox 2.0 gas shocks. [see more]

3″ Radius Arm Lift Kit (diesel only): The 3″ radius arm system gives all the benefits of a high performance system at a lower height designed for 35? tires. Along with progressive rate front coil springs, the kit includes heavy duty high clearance tubular radius arms with large 3.5? bushings, a solid stock adjustable track bar, new spherical bushing extended swaybar links front and rear, 1.25″ rear coil spacer, rear track bar bracket and your choice of shocks. [see more]

4-6″ Radius Arm Lift Kits:These kits are designed to retain the factory radius arms by relocating the frame mounting location using a pair of 1/4″ steel drop brackets to maintain suspension geometry. The drop brackets key off the factory mounts and tie into the frame for extra strength. Also included in the kit are specially designed gas or diesel engine specific progressive rate ProRide front coil springs offering improved performance across all terrains. Heavy duty fabricated front and rear track bar brackets, forged drop pitman arm, extended bump stops, brake line relocation brackets, high clearance tranny crossmember and indexing ring (5.5-6″ kits only) rear ProRide coil springs, sway bar links and your choice of shocks at all 4 corners giving clearance for up to 37″ tires. [see more]

4-6″ 4-Link Lift Kits: These kits are designed to convert the factory radius arm over to a stronger 4-link design offering improved stability, handling and articulation. The kit is designed with 1/4″ fabricated 4-link brackets that key into the factory radius arm pockets for added strength. The 4-link design improves drivability by limited castor change to less than 1-degree throughout wheel travel. These kits also include gas or diesel engine specific progressive rate ProRide coil springs, front and rear track bar bracket, forged drop pitman arm, extended bump stops, brake line relocation brackets, high clearance tranny crossmember and t-case indexing ring (5.5-6″ kits only) rear ProRide coil springs, sway bar links and your choice of shocks at all 4 corners giving clearance for up to 37″ tires. [see more]

Accessories: In addition to complete kits, BDS offers 4-link upgrade kits, dual shock mounting kits, an adjustable track bar, Fox 2.0 shocks, single or dual steering stabilizer kits, carrier bearing drop kits and more to outfit your 2016 RAM 2500. As with all BDS kits these are backed by the Factory Protection Plus Program. [see more]

    • Carter @ BDS Suspension says:

Hey Jay, our current 2-8” kits for the RAM 2500 will not fit the rear air-ride equipped RAM 2500. We plan to offer kits in the future however due to company policy we can’t discuss kit details or release date until the parts are on the shelf and we release them for sale.

        Hello Again,

Any way of you guys knowing what the final height of 2016 2500 4×4 mega cab diesel ends up at with the 6″ lift and 37×20’s?

        Reply
        • Carter @ BDS Suspension says:

          Hey Fermin,
unfortunately that’s not a measurement we take when developing the kits. You can get a close estimate by measuring your current height + 6″ for the lift height + 1/2 the difference in tire size (i.e. 33″ stock to 37″ tire will raise the overall vehicle height 2″)

    Good day,
    I have a 2016 RAM 2500 MEGA Cab.

    1. Does your lift kit address adjusting the carrier bearing to elimiate roll-off shuttering?

    2. What size lift would you recommend to run 37″ tires?

    Thanks!
    Al

    Reply
    • Carter @ BDS Suspension says:

      Hey Al,

We do offer a carrier bearing drop (#122405) to eliminate rear driveline vibrations. Its available as an accessory for all our kits rather than being included because not all RAMs use a 2-piece rear driveshaft. We also offer a transmission/transfer case crossmember and indexing ring to correct front driveline angle. This is included with all 5.5”, 6” and 8” lift kits.

As far as recommended lift size to fit 37s, that would depend on tire width, wheel width, and wheel backspacing you plan to install. Wider wheels and smaller backspacing will require more lift to clear the tires when turning hard or flexing the suspension. That said typically 6” of lift is needed to fit 37s, however it can be done with as little as 4” of lift and may take up to 8” if running 14”+ wide wheels. We have a list of recommended wheel/tire sizes on our website on each product page.

unfortunately we don’t offer a 3″ coil for the gas RAM HDs, only for the spring rate of the diesel currently. That said we do offer several options to fit your 6.4L Hemi RAM 2500 including a 2″ leveling kit and 4″ kit options. See more at http://bds-suspension.com/product?kid=1609H

    • Carter @ BDS Suspension says:

Hey Jake, unfortunately the suspension/chassis on those trucks aren’t compatible so you can’t swap the kit over to the newer RAMs. The ’03-13 RAM 2500 trucks used a factory coil sprung 4-link front and leaf spring rear suspension design. The ’14-17 RAM 2500 trucks use a factory coil sprung radius arm front and coil sprung multilink rear suspension design.

    Reply
    • Carter @ BDS Suspension says:

Sorry Ben, no updates at this point, company policy dictates we can’t discuss new product development specifics until kits are on the shelf ready for sale. Unlike the ’09-13 PW, the ’14-17 PW doesn’t share the same suspension as the standard RAM 2500 so our existing RAM 2500 kits can’t be crossed over to the PW.

    Hey
Im looking at the 8″ kit for a 2016 2500. Im sure i dont have air ride.
Just wanting to know what the best setup is. Ive seen the options being offered outside of the kit ie radius arms and steering stuff.
Need to know the best setup for ride comfort as i will be mainly doing very long trips and need a comfy ride plus the height.
I was looking at the Fox shocks option as well.
Im based in Australia and not a lot of guys know much about the RAMs here therefore we cant find much info here.
Also laws are pretty tough so the setup needs to be solid to pass onroads.
    Thanks in advance.

      • Carter @ BDS Suspension says:

        Hey Jay,
we offer 2-8″ lift options to fit the 2016 RAM 2500. In the 4-6″ lift range we offer 4″ and 5.5″ kits for the Hemi equipped trucks and 4″ and 6″ lift kits for the Cummins trucks. Our kits are designed to offer smooth on-road ride quality and impressive offroad performance. Both 4″ and 5.5-6″ lifts are offered with radius arm drop brackets or 4-link conversion. You’re best bet for on road comfort, handling, and strength are the 4-link systems. Our kits come complete with everything needed to safely lift your truck.

On the topic of shipping to Australia, we currently don’t have any Australian dealers and don’t offer manufacturer direct international shipping outside of the US. You would need to use an exporter that can provide us with a US ship-to address for the order or find a dealer that offers international shipping. Australia has very strict laws concerning suspension modification to vehicles. With us not selling directly to any dealers in Australia we haven’t pursued approval for the kits in Australia.

So with the 4 link kit, i wont have issues of the cv angles etc if any offroading is done?

Also with the 6″ kit what wheel offset would you recommend to avoid much rubbing with 37″ wheels/tires?

I have a us address that can used to get it shipped and forwarded to me.
I sent an email to the address given o. Your contacr page but the email bounced.
Can you please give me an email address as i need to get a few more details on packing sizes etc to workout my overall shipping cost.

          • Carter @ BDS Suspension says:

            Hey Jay,
unlike IFS trucks where the CV axle angle is a concern, the RAM 2500/3500 trucks use a solid axle in the front so the are no CV angles to worry about. Our kit is designed to correct the steering, suspension, drivetrain geometry and allows the use of the truck on and off-road. The 4-link design allows for more strength, stability and offroad articulation. One thing our 6″ kits include unlike other companies is a new low profile transmission crossmember and indexing ring for the transfer case. This clocks or “indexes” the transfer case to improve the front driveline angle to allow the use of the factory front driveshaft. In the rear if your equipped with a 2-piece driveshaft we recommend the carrier bearing drop to improve the rear driveline angle.

We have the wheel and tire recommendations listed on our website along with other kit info, http://bds-suspension.com/product?kid=1604H. 37″ tires fit comfortably on the 6″ kits and we recommend a 9″ wide wheel with 4.5-5.625″ backspacing wheel. The larger the backspacing the more clearance you will have.

    • Carter @ BDS Suspension says:

Hey Carl, at 4″ you’ll be fine without the indexing ring. At 5.5″ it is recommended to install the indexing ring kit (we include the indexing ring in our 5.5″ lifts)

    • Carter @ BDS Suspension says:

Hey Greg, at this point we’re not listing a complete 8″ system for the gas model RAM 2500 trucks. The 4-link conversion requires extensive exhaust modification on the 6.4L Hemi models and we don’t offer a full length front 8″ gas spec’d coil spring. That said there are some options for set your truck up taller, but I’d recommend calling in to speak with the BDS tech support for more info on the exhaust modification options, tehc-bds@sporttruckusainc.com or (517) 279-2135

    • Carter @ BDS Suspension says:

      Hey David,
the ’03-13 RAM 2500s use a different suspension configuration (coil spring 4-link) than the newer 2014-2018 trucks described on this announcement with coil sprung radius arm front. Assuming its 4WD we offer a wide range of lifts to fit your 2013 RAM 2500 Megacab gas truck including 2″ leveling kits, for more info head to our website at http://bds-suspension.com/product?ma=2&mo=17&ty=1&yr=2009-2013 and then click on the tab for 2″ kits to customize a kit with available accessories.

    Reply
    • Carter @ BDS Suspension says:

Hi Witman, That’s a bit of a loaded questions without knowing what wheel width/backspacing you are planing to use as wider wheels/smaller backspacing will require more lift to clear when turning or being used offroad. In general you can fit 35″ tires on the 2014-2018 RAM 2500 trucks with as little as 2″ leveling kit, however its more common with our 3″ radius arm systems. Depending on the wheels you go with the 4″ lift allows for 35-37″ tires and the 6″ lift allows for 37-38″ tires. We have a recommended tire/wheel guide available on our website along with info on each kit option, check them all out at http://bds-suspension.com/product?kid=1624H

#98224710 is the front FOX 2.0 shock we spec for 0-2″ lift kits (shock measures 25″ extended / 15″ collapsed)
#98224700 is the front FOX 2.0 shock we spec for 3″ lift kits (shock measures 22.5″ extended / 13.5″ collapsed)

Either will likely work on there for you, but you can check measurements on your truck for extended/collapsed shock measurements to confirm fitment.

I just recently purchase a 8” four link kit for my 2016 ram 2500 dsl I’m trying to run a set of 22×14 wheels on the truck do you know what size tires I could run without having clearance issues

    Reply
    • Carter @ BDS Suspension says:

      Hey Anthony,
while it can and has been done, 14″ wide wheels are outside of our official recommended wheel specs at the manufacturer level so we can’t give a definitive answer as to what size tire will fit and the amount of trimming that may be necessary. There are a number of factors in the backspacing of the wheel, the actual size of the tire installed, how the vehicle will be used (on-road only or driven offroad), stock or aftermarket bumpers + heavy aftermarket accessories, along with your comfort level trimming if necessary will all play into the tire sizes that could work. 37×13.50s will likely be the largest you’ll be able to “fit” and allow clearance for turning, however ever there trimming may be necessary in certain situations.
