2013 Easter Jeep Safari Recap
What a week out in the red rocks of Moab, UT. Good weather, great people, and plenty of 4-wheeling as the Red Rock 4Wheeler Club hosted their 47th Annual Easter Jeep Safari March 23-31, 2013. What started as a small pre-Easter gathering of friends years ago has grown into the annual must-see industry event. Thousands of Jeeps, buggies, and side-by-sides converging on the small town of Moab for a 8 days of trails, parties, and a 2 day vendor show just outside of town. Vendors from around the country make the trip to Moab and Jeep debuts a number of concept vehicles each year. The club does a great job of organizing the event and always concludes with a vendor sponsored raffle drawing, this year with more that $150,000 worth of prizes handed out to the crowd. BDS loaded up for the 2013 Easter Jeep Safari
The guys from BDS Suspension have their bags packed and are ready to embark on the 25 hour road trip from Coldwater, MI to Moab, UT for the 2013 Easter Jeep Safari. This event, the 47th annual gathering, is hosted by the Red Rock 4Wheelers Club and welcomes thousands of Jeeps and other off-road vehicles to the tiny town of Moab for a week of 4wheeling. This event continues to grow each year and boasts hundreds of aftermarket companies, media member, celebrities, and even support from the Mopar division of Jeep who debuts a number of project vehicles. The event runs Saturday March 23rd through Sunday March 31st with numerous trail rides that range from scenic cruises to down right  treacherous. BDS is the official suspension of the 2013 Ultimate Adventure!
BDS Suspension is proud to announce they are the official suspension of the 2013 Ultimate Adventure hosted by 4-Wheel & Off-Road Magazine. Each year the magazine organizes a mystery adventure in an undisclosed location where 20+ trail rigs load up their gear for a week of 4wheeling, camping, and highway time as the convoy wheels a particular region of the country covering 1000+ miles and various off-road terrains. Part of being a sponsor of Ultimate Adventure means we get to take part in the trip, and that seems like a great excuse to spend some company money building a new trail rig. Stay tuned for more info on the new project vehicle as we build it up for the adventure ahead.
H&S F350 in Diesel World Magazine
H&S Performance’s F350 in Diesel World Magazine Tom Wood, an engineer over at H&S Performance built this gorgeous 2012 Ford F350 Super Duty to tackle his everyday daily driving duties. From prototyping new diesel products to dyno testing, and sled pulling, this truck sees its fair share of abuse. This rig features a laundry list of mods done tastefully to accent the truck. Mods include a BDS 8” 4-Link Lift Kit with dual Fox 2.0 shocks up front, 40” Interco M-16s mounted on 22” BMF wheels along with a pair of colormatched Fusion Bumpers with a Superwinch and Rigid LED Lighting installed. Also making the build are a set of Bushwacker flares, a BMF grill, painted headlights, smoked taillights, and a pair of Amp Research steps. King of the Hammers 2013 Recap
Another King of the Hammers is in the books and the guys from BDS are back home shaking the dust off, going on with stories of the and camaraderie and competition out in the lake bed.  Mike Maloney and Jason Shellhaas headed out to Johnson Valley for the week long competition and came back with this to say: …this event continues to expand and draw in larger crowds than ever before. The weather was all over the map and as motos, quads, Jeep, trucks, and buggies took to the terrain to be crowned the new King. In the main event on Friday  the competition came down to the wire with 2-time winner Shannon Campbell nipping at the heels of eventual winners Randy and David Slawson. King of the Hammers this week!
Out in the dried up lake bed of Johnson Valley, CA the once dry and dismal landscape is taken over this week each year as more than 50,000 people gather in Hammertown to watch and compete in one of the toughest off-road races in the world. What started as handful of hardcore 4wheelers racing for bragging rights out in the desert has grown into week long event, multiple classes of racers, and a year long prep for the big event. With all the advances in technology, corporate involvement, and multiple race classes, KOH continues to have a “run what you brung” Â attitude that keeps it exciting for spectators and racers alike.
