The Background: Outside Magazine’s team and Jhan Dolphin from Prefix collaborated to build this amazing BDS-equipped vehicle. In case you missed the “Live Bravely” overlander at SEMA 2021, read on to learn a little bit more information on the 2021 Ford Ranger Tremor featured in the Ford Motor Co. display. Lift and Tires: A major priority for the build team at Attitude Performance was creating a vehicle with extreme off-road capability that didn’t sacrifice on-road comfort and performance. To accomplish this, they reached out to the Research and Development team here at BDS Suspension. After fitting a BDS 6″ DSC Coilover Lift System they moved on to wheels and tires. Weld wheels give this build a clean and subtle look, while 35” BFG A/T’s ensure that this Ranger has great traction for all its future journeys. BDS is on the road to Moab today, and while we drive, we discuss the yearly tradition of Jeep concept vehicle announcements that coincide with this awesome week-long event. Old School vs. New School: Bronco Edition
With the arrival of the 2021 Bronco, there was bound to be some heated discussion about old versus new, young blood measured and scrutinized in the shadow of a timeless classic. Amidst all of this talk, Scosche, a company well known for its automotive electronics, got together with Rockstar Performance Garage and brainstormed a different vision for two builds, Broncos old and new, which could sit together in the desert in perfect harmony. To achieve this the 2021 Bronco was outfitted with the BDS 4″ DSC Coilover System, which allows for extremely capable maneuvering thanks to our BDS uniball UCAs and FOX 2.5 Performance Elite Series Coilovers. This lift along with a fender flare delete kit gave this Bronco some aggressive retro styling all while sitting above 37″ Mickey Thompson Baja Boss M/T tires wrapped around 17×9 Fuel Ripper wheels. Lone Star Throwdown 2022: Event Recap
The Show: The BDS team made it out for the 2022 edition of Lone Star Throwdown in Conroe, Texas this past weekend. As has become the norm with LST, rain and colder conditions did put a bit of a damper on the party, but with pockets of sunshine and an enthusiastic crowd we made it out to take part in all the action. The show boasted around 100 vendors set up, with BDS among them. The three day festival brought in around 25,000 spectators and about 2000 show vehicles scattered througout the fairgrounds. This show has a mix of vehicle builds from trucks from so low they drag frame, trucks so tall you can walk up underneath of them, vintage classics, restomods, daily drivers, rat rods and everything in between.
