The Background:

Outside Magazine's team and Jhan Dolphin from Prefix collaborated to build this amazing BDS-equipped vehicle. In case you missed the "Live Bravely" overlander at SEMA 2021, read on to learn a little bit more information on the 2021 Ford Ranger Tremor featured in the Ford Motor Co. display.

Lift and Tires:

A major priority for the build team at Attitude Performance was creating a vehicle with extreme off-road capability that didn’t sacrifice on-road comfort and performance. To accomplish this, they reached out to the Research and Development team here at BDS Suspension. After fitting a BDS 6" DSC Coilover Lift System they moved on to wheels and tires. Weld wheels give this build a clean and subtle look, while 35” BFG A/T’s ensure that this Ranger has great traction for all its future journeys.

Interior Equipment:

Inside, the Outside Magazine’s Ford Ranger is tastefully equipped; featuring Katzkin custom leather seats, ARB fridge, GAIA GPS Trail Maps, and remote control for the Warn winch.

It is truly amazing how the quality of the custom leather seats tied everything together with the clean look of the Ranger's dash and center console. Which contributes to making this rig a no-compromise exploration machine with comfort clearly a priority.

Exterior Accesories:

With the ride sorted, next came functional exterior upgrades. Starting off with some ARB bumpers front and back, Rigid trail lighting, and a Warn winch. In the bed of Outside Magazine’s Ranger, there are a few very impressive utility components. The Yakima bed rack system holds recovery equipment including shovels and recovery boards. Resting on top is a Thule Tepui rooftop tent, while underneath lies a TruckVault bed storage system that keeps tools and supplies safely locked away. Finally, the last exterior accessory added is a machine called WaterGen, which pulls water from the atmosphere in order to allow extended trips into the wilderness without hydration or water worries of the typical Overlanding setup.

Paint and Graphics:

Finally, the fully equipped truck was tied together by the guys over at CPV Paint & Graphics with a custom two-tone grey paint job, Outside Magazine’s logo featured prominently on the side, and some paint matched fender flares from Air Design for a truly unique and functional build. BDS is proud to work with builders and companies to create high-quality/high-capability rigs that showcase what it means to be BDS equipped.
