2018 SEMA Show Is Almost Here!
Its almost that time for sin city, the one and only Las Vegas, NV, to welcome back the automotive aftermarket for the Super Bowl of events. Whether you’re into trucks and offroad, racing, classic cars, imports or exotics, the SEMA Show is a sensory overload as more than 2500 companies set up to showcase their latest and greatest products to more than 75,000 industry professionals in attendance. The show spans the 1 million sq.ft Las Vegas Convention Center and surrounding area to kick off next Tuesday running through Friday. 2018 SEMA Preview: BDS’s Newest Project Vehicle
BDS Project X: Over the last couple weeks the BDS Suspension research & development team have been hard at work on the overhaul of the newest vehicle to join the company fleet. Built to be a super capable adventure rig with plenty of gear and supplies, this truck will make its public debut in less than 2 weeks out at the 2018 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. We’re bubbling over with excitement to announce the vehicle and build plans, unfortunately the announcement is under embargo at the moment and we’re waiting for the manufacturer to lift it before we can spill the beans. BDS Hits the Beach for Ocean City Jeep Week
Sun, Sand, Surf and Jeeps in Ocean City, Maryland as BDS joined more than 1000+ Jeeps of all shapes and sizes for Ocean City Jeep Week. BDS has been coming to this event since it started a few years back and each year it continues to grow with more vendors, participants and activities. This family friendly show has a little bit of everything from shown-shine and 2 different obstacle courses to tons of vendors and shops on site showing off the latest product and nightly parties. Each morning of the show starts off with a morning cruise along the soft sandy beaches before heading over to the OC convention center where vendors, show-n-shine and monster truck rides take place. Celebrating National Dog Day at our Local Shelter
Here at BDS Suspension we love our four-legged friends. These special animals become a member of the family. They are often the first hello when we get home from work and the last goodnight when we go to bed. So as National Dog Day came around BDS wanted to get out in the community and promote the local Humane Society right here in Michigan, Humane Society of Branch County. BDS took a trip down to the local animal shelter and spent the afternoon playing with the dogs and learning about the Humane Society. We took dogs for rides in the vehicles, spent time playing fetch, and of course lots of pets. These dogs, as well as dogs in all shelters, are all in need of a special home. SD126, Broncos, and Butler Body Shop
On August 16, 2018 local body shop, Butler Body Shop in Coldwater, MI had an open house where BDS’s Project SD126 and rock guitar legend, Ted Nugent’s Broncos were featured. Butler Body Shop was the painter/body shop for SD126 and Ted Nugent’s classic original Bronco and then the body shop for the later model full-size Bronco. Ted Nugent, a Detroit native, is an American Singer-Songwriter who gained his fame as the lead guitarist of the Amboy Dukes, a hard rock band that formed in the 60’s. He later went out on his own where he was known for his energetic and aggressive blues-tinged guitar style. He continued to play into the 21st century where he landed a spot as the opening act for Kiss’ Farewell U.S. Tour. Music wasn’t this man’s only passion. Truck Jam 2018
This past weekend BDS attended Truck Jam down in Jupiter, Florida This event was located at the Palm Beach International Raceway. This location allowed for vendors on site, a bikini contest, a stereo competition, a burnout contest, a 26 category car/truck show, and drag racing of all types of vehicles. It was an exciting event with lots going on, which drew in a large crowd. This was the very first year for this event, and we must say, it was a hit! The event opened up to the public at 1 pm and was scheduled to go until 11 pm when the noise ordinance began. The day started out busy, unfortunately good ol’ Florida weather blew in a good sized thunderstorm that went on for about two hours. This caused a minor delay in the activities, but by the time the storm blew over and the sunshine came back out…
