Power Automedia Visits #ProjectRangerX at SEMA
? Power Automedia met up with BDS at the Ford booth at the 2018 SEMA Show to get some insight on #ProjectRangerX. Ford’s booth is definitely one of the best booths at SEMA. The 2019 Ford Ranger is coming to America, and not only did we got our hands on one of the first in the country, but we had the opportunity to do a complete overhaul on it and have it featured in Ford’s booth. This build was inspired by adventure. We are offroad enthusiasts and we wanted this truck to reflect that. This truck is awesome right out of the gate both on road and offroad, but we wanted to take it to the next level so that no adventure was out of reach. Ranger Builds of SEMA 2018
Its an exciting time in the mid sized truck world as the Ford Ranger returns to the great US of A for 2019. While at the 2018 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, we took some time to visit our favorite 2019 Ford Ranger builds, including our very own, #ProjectRangerX. Most of these builds were featured in the Ford booth, and almost all of them featured BDS Suspension Systems on them. These lift systems will be making their way into the market in the near future. You can find more information about the Ford Rangers that were in Ford’s Booth at the Ford 2018 Sema Show Press Release.
Project Ranger X: Ready for SEMA 2018
Built up and ready for an adventure. With just 5 short weeks, the BDS build team took one of the first 2019 Ford Rangers in existence and overhauled it into a show stopper. Built for capability out on the trail, great looks with a strong stance and plenty of utility with room to haul gear BDS’s Project Ranger X elevates the Ranger to the next level. Starting with a pre-production 2019 Ranger right off the assembly line, this truck was torn down, the frame was extended, service bed and custom rack fitted, a BDS suspension lift installed and larger tires and accessories were added. We documented the build in a 5-part build series that followed the team as they transformed this 2019 Ford Ranger from stock to fully custom, click the links below to check out how it all came together. Kevin Stearns Finishes 3rd in the Ultra4 Racing National Championship
Ultra4 Racing is an unlimited, 4-wheel drive, endurance racing challenge that takes place anywhere from the trails of the Hammers, to the barren wasteland of Nevada, to the hills of Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Kentucky. These are some of the baddest and toughest races on the planet. We are proud BDS Suspension‘s sponsored driver and owner of Tilden Motorsports, Kevin Stearns, who finished 3rd in this race that was at the Wild West Motorsports Park over the weekend. Kevin raced well in this past weekends race. While there were some set backs in the qualifying race, where Stearns had a hand injury, he was still able to come from the back and finish in 6th. In the main event Stearns, again, had a setback where he lost power steering. Stearns continued to push as hard as possible for 4 laps and it paid off as he was able to manage a…
Pitbull Tires’s SEMA Booth Build by Hauk Designs
Hauk Designs has been hard at work on a 6×6 Dodge Truck that they are building for Pitbull Tires to display in their SEMA booth. This vehicle is getting a ’94-’01 RAM 2500 BDS Long Arm kit in the front and Jeep JK rear long arms in the build up. They have completely tore this thing apart. They took most of the original vehicle off and will not be putting it back on. They kept half the frame and the engine transmission, that’s about it. Now this is a very cool build, but it did not come so easily. One of the biggest challenges that the crew at Hauk Designs had was figuring out that center axle. The crew tried a few different things from using a two piece drive shaft and double transfer cases, but to be able to drive this thing at highway speeds is not easy.…
