BDS heads to OK Auto’s OKtober Truckfest
BDS’s very own Chris Bowers just made it back to Michigan after heading down to OK 4WD‘s annual OKtoberfest. Here is his take on the event: OKtober Truckfest, what a show! Apparently no one around BDS Distributor OK Auto 4WD in Stewartsville, NJ is aware of a slump in the economy! OKtober Truckfest had  record registrations with over 170 vehicles along with (1) Blackhawk Military helicopter landing during the show! The showroom and sales counter were busy from the time the doors opened at 9:00 am to closing. The show always has something for everyone, from a band on the back deck playing your favorite tunes to pumpkin painting for the kids. Following the show and shine competition Jim O., owner of OK opened up the rock pile and test terrain to anyone feeling the need. Off-Road Expo Recap
Off-Road Expo 2011 WOW! What a great trip to Sothern California! Off-Road Expo seems to be one of the fastest growing events in the country and this year didn’t fail to impress! This is the second year VP of sales, Mike Maloney and Jason Shellhaas, the BDS West Coast sales rep made the journey to the L.A. County Fair Plex to represent the BDS line for the two day show. The show started at 9am on Saturday Oct. 8th, and the place was shoulder to shoulder visitors within the first half hour! Mike and Jason spent the next two days answering questions and receiving great feedback from customers covering everything from classic CJ5’s to High Clearance IFS systems and everything in between! ’11 SEMA Show just weeks away!
SEMA is right around the corner! Now in its 44th year, the 2011 SEMA Show boasts over 2000 companies and over 100,000 attendees out in Las Vegas, NV each year. Hosted by the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) this event is a 4-day long showcase of everything automotive for the truck, car, and motorcycle industries, covering the performance, styling and racing markets as manufacturers, media, and industry professionals come together to show off their latest and greatest. The date is set for November 1-4, 2011. While SEMA isn’t open to the general public, the event is a benchmark for all the current and future trends within the industry. Media coverage is vast in the days, weeks, and months that follow the event so you’re sure to see some of it in magazines, on the web, and on TV. As the chaos known as the truck show season winds down and everyone begins to relax, 2 shows come along each year, slated mere weeks apart that draw in hundreds of aftermarket manufactures, tens of thousands of attendees, celebrity appearances, and media from around the world. BDS Suspension: Indy Jamboree 2011 Well the guys from BDS made it back to The BDS headquarters in Coldwater, MI after a great show down in Indianapolis, IN. This year marked the 30th Anniversary of the Fall 4Wheel Jamboree Nationals in Indy and as expected they pulled out all the stops. Here’s what Shawn and Mike had to say following the event: Despite the cooler temps and rainy weather on Sunday, Â the turnout was great. The fairgrounds were filled with up throughout the weekend with the influx of trucks, Jeeps, SUVs, buggies, monster trucks, some oddball custom creations, and the crowd of thousands ready to have a great time. BDS was on hand along with a large number of other vendors to show off some of our newest products and chat with customers.
