Press Release133 Part#670H – 4″ Product4 inch Suspension Lift Kit Application2013 Dodge Ram 1500 4wd 1/2 Ton Pickup Support Files & Links |
2013 Dodge Ram 1500 4wdColdwater, MI—January 8, 2013—BDS Suspension has revamped its Ram 1500 4wd lift kits to fit the new 2013 electronic steering rack equipped trucks. Both the 4″ and 6″ lift kits feature a pair of one-piece, 1/4″ steel, laser cut high-clearance crossmembers and heavy duty differential skid plate creating a solid subframe for improved ground clearance. The new extended steering knuckles feature repositioned steering mounts for optimal steering angles and improving ball joint operating angles. Combined with BDS’s new tie rod ends, the new knuckles integrate with the factory electronic stability control parameters for OE handling characteristics. The systems also feature pair of strut spacers used to retain factory ride quality. The front of this system includes sway bar link extensions, 3-point differential drop brackets, billet aluminum driveshaft spacer, and stainless steel brake lines. Due to the OE ride height variances, BDS offers three rear lift options to get your desired stance: 2″ coil spacers, 3″ Pro-Ride coil springs, or 5″ Pro-Ride coil springs. Also included in the rear, the BDS kits utilize a track bar bracket, upper link relocation brackets, and extended sway bar links, brake line brackets and your choice of BDS-5500 shocks or Fox 2.0 performance series shocks. The 4″ lift kit will clear up to 35″ tires while the 6″ kit clears 37″. These kits will not fit adjustable rear air suspension equipped models. For more info on these lift kits and to find the distributor nearest you, check out BDS Suspension or call (517) 279-2135. |

Is their a 2″ lift or leveling kit for factory airride for 2013 ram, is their performance shocks available and larger sway bars
Unfortunately we don’t offer any leveling kits for the late model ram 1500s with or without airride. As for the sway bar our kits use extended links with the OE swaybar. We offer Fox 2.0 shocks for the rear, contact us at (517) 279-2135 for application/fitment questions.
hi I asked my local suspension shop about putting 37’s with your 6″ suspension kit and I was told that they wont fit and that they will rub. when will BDS make a 8″ suspension lift for a 2013 ram 1500 4×4? thanks
Hey Jimmy, 37s are tight, but will fit if you follow our wheel/tire recommendations (listed on the 6” product page on our website). Our company has a policy about not discussing what products may or may not be in the works so unfortunately I can answer on the 8” topic other than to say at this point we don’t offer it.
Will the 4″ lift fit on a 2013 Ram 1500 outdoorsman? I know the stock outdoorsman sits roughly 1″ higher than other models..
Hey Jon, our kits will work on all RAM 1500 4WD model trucks except for the air-suspension equipped trucks.
im about to buy the 6″ BDS lift kit with fox shocks for my 09 ram sport curious on clearance on my wheels rubbing i have 24″ rims and will be hopefully getting nitto terror A/T
Hey Jesse, running a larger wheel diameter isn’t an issue, but not knowing the width and backspacing of the wheels and the size Nittos you are planning to run its difficult to say whether you’ll have any clearance issues. For more on our recommended specs head to http://bds-suspension.com/product?kid=622H or call (517) 279-2135
I have a 2014 dodge ram 1500 limited 4×4 with air lifts and was wondering how to get more clearance that what is currently available on the truck. Would this require a separate lift, or something additional to the current lift. I am satisfied with what I have, just curious if a change of mind.
Hey Brad,
the newer air-suspension equipped RAM 1500s use a different suspension setup than the standard strut/coil RAMs. At this point we aren’t offering a full suspension lift to fit the air-suspension trucks, but have kits in development. Company policy dictates we can’t discuss new product info/pricing/expected release date until the kits are on the shelf available for sale. Once available we’ll send out a PR and have more info on the kits and options on our website.
Is it true all your kits are powder coated?
It depends on the component, but all kits have some type of protective coating. Control arms, brackets, and crossmembers use a textured black powder coat finish while other parts like u-bolts and blocks are black e-coated. The exception is on the weld-in support gussets used on with our lift kits for the newer F150s, Tundras, and a few others. Those come raw and would need to be painted once welded in.
Hi I plan to install the 4 inch on my 2013 ram sport 4×4, I want to putt 22×10 xd brigade with -2 offset on 35 inch 12.5 tires, will I have fitment issues or have to trim anything?
Hey Blake, there are a number of factors that play into fitment and outside of the sizes we spec on our website we can’t guarantee some degree of modification/trimming won’t be necessary to clear in all driving conditions. For the 4” kit we spec 35×12.50 tires with 20×9 with 5” backspacing. That said those 22×10 wheels measure out to about a 4.5” backspacing, which will likely work just fine, however some minor trimming may be needed to clearance with the tires turned full lock or when the suspension is flexed offroad.
-24 offset
Ordered a kit for my 2013 Ram 1500. When the kit came some of the boxes are labeled 2012. Will they still fit, or do I need to exchange?
Hey Lucus, sorry for the confusion on that. A large number of the boxes carry over from 2012-2018 models, some of which were set up in 2012 which is why some of the boxes are labeled 2012 being that’s when they were originally set up. The base box kits you should have are:
022630 Front Box 1of4
022631 Front Box 2of4
022402 (4″) or 022624 (6″) Front Box 3of4
022625 Front Box 4of4
022209 or 022309 or 022509 Rear Box Kit
+ rear shocks and/or coilovers
If you received different box kits for your 2013 RAM 1500 please reach out to your place of purchase (BDS dealer or BDS customer service team) directly for assistance.
