Black & Blue Over You: Doug’s 2013 Ford F150
Each year the SEMA Show is flooded with amazing automobiles, lifted trucks, lower street rods, resto-mod classics and late model monsters all in the name of automotive customization. There’s something for everyone’s taste from the insane over-the-top to capable daily drivers. BDS Suspension attends this annual show out in Las Vegas and continues to make quite the statement with show vehicles scattered throughout the show grounds on display in exhibitor booths and featured vehicle spots.
One of the trucks to on display at the 2013 SEMA Show was this super clean 2013 Ford F150 FX4 Ecoboost owned by Doug Taylor of Auto Reflections in Waukee, IA. Doug and his crew did a great job with theĀ black and metallic blue color scheme tied in from bumper to bumperĀ for a truly custom yet not over-the-top look.
The front bumper was scrapped and in its place a N-Fab RSP front bumper colormatched to the stock tuxedo black paint with Rigid 38” LED Lightbar mounted along with pair of Rigid spots and floods to light up the night. Doug stuck with the stock smoked FX4 headlights and finished off the front end with an N-Fab mesh grill and blue metallic powdercoated tow hooks. Underneath the truck the F150 is running the BDS 6” High Clearance Lift Kit with more of the blue metallic color to continue the black and blue theme. Bushwacker entend-a-fender flares help protect the sides of the truck now that it’s running on 35×12.50×20 General Grabbers and 20×10 DropStar 645B wheels (also sporting color matched blue accents). N-Fab wheel-to-wheel steps help Doug get up into the truck where he kept the interior fairly stock other than Roadwire leather seats done in a black-on-black suede with silver stitching and blue Roadwire embroidery. Out back the truck is running a BDS 4” rear lift with Fox 2.0 shocks to level the stance, an Undercover flex tonneau cover, Bedrug carpeting, and pair of Undercover swing cases. Rounding out this truck the rear bumper was colormatched and a pair of Rigid dually flush mounted lights installed. Under the hood the 3.5L Ecoboost got some love from a Bully Dog GT tuner and cold air intake. Check out more photos of this truck on BDS’s Facebook Page.
