Project Trucks: Jesus’ Camo ‘Yota dubbed Iiconic Tundra

Each year the SEMA Show is flooded with amazing automobiles, lifted trucks, lower street rods, resto-mod classics and late model monsters all in the name of automotive customization. There’s something for everyone’s taste from the insanely built and over-the-top to capable daily drivers. BDS Suspension attends this annual show out in Las Vegas and continues to make a statement with show vehicles scattered throughout the show grounds on display in exhibitor booths and featured vehicle spots.

One of the trucks on display last fall at SEMA has gone through a bit of a transformation since the show. The Iiconic Tundra owned by Jesus Aguiniga out of Whittier, CA showed up at SEMA repping a Line-X sprayed exterior in the standard black, decked out the whazoo with lift, wheels, tires, bumpers, lights, cap and roof rack interior and performance mods ready to take on a zombie apocalypse or stealth combat mission.  Since then Jesus added some color to exterior with a radical urban camo design that helps it stand out at shows while blending in. Here’s a rundown of some of the mods to this iconic 2012 Toyota Tundra.

Up front Iiconic received a facelift in the form of Cali Retrofit headlights, a Gravel Empire mesh grille, Fab Fours bumper and an assortment of Rigid LEDs. The elevated stance comes from a BDS 7” Performance Coilover System featuring Fox 2.5 remote coilvers for the ultimate on/off-road performance. Our back a set of Atlas leaf springs, Fox 2.0s, Hellwig sway bar and AirLift air bags were installed to level the stance and support the extra weight of the rear gear storage.  An Air Zenith compressor is used to air up the bags and pulls double duty with a set of Kleinn 630 train horns. Along with the exterior, the bed received the same Line-X treatment along with a Bedrug and is capped off with an ARE redcap, Decked bed storage system and a Bedslide storage tray. Up top a full length SMP Fabworks roof rack was mounted and adorns an assortment of Rigids to light up the night. LED taillights came from Recon were added and Bushwacker pocketstyle flares were used for extra tire coverage for the massive 37×13.50×20 Toyo M/Ts he is running mounted up on 20×12 Moto Metal 962s. The gears were swapped out Nitro 4.88s and a rear Auburn Gear Pro LSD was installed for better traction. To help with stopping power stainless steel brake lines were installed along with from TRD “big brakes” and rear Stop Techs. Inside the factory seats were covered by Roadwire, the gauges were upgraded and Focal/Pioneer stereo system was installed along with other custom accents. Under the hood the stock 5.7L V8. receives help from an AirAid intake kit, Bully Dog programmer, Doug Thorley headers, and a Magnaflow exhaust system.

Jesus’ Iconic Tundra can be spotted as events all over the west coast and is ready to hit the trail. For more on this rig head to BDS’s Facebook Page or check out Iiconic Tundra on Instagram.
