We pulled the BDS TJ in the shop yesterday for some steering and suspension tweeks. After 4 years, 2 Ultimate Adventures, 2 trips to Moab, and countless trailrides on the 4×4 Outback Adventure, we are proud to say our production 6.5” longarm suspension has held up to the abuse courageously. Our plan to build a very capable trail rig on a typically wheelers budget with factory Dana30/44 axles and 37” tires has been a success, outside of the occasion, ok more than occasion, u-joint break out on the trail. With the Jeep on the hoist we swapped out the wasted wheel bearings for new units and installed the newly released BDS exclusive Fox 2.0 Performance Series Shocks on all 4 corners. With all the R&D BDS and Fox have put into these shocks we know they perform. Now all we need is some free time to hit the trail, good thing it’s…

Recently we received this email and picture from Charlie Stevens, VP of PA Jeeps, Inc. If you’ve ever had the opportunity to meet Charlie at any of the PA Jeeps shows, you know he’s a great guy and a loyal BDS customer. By purchasing his mods during the “Make Tracks to Cabela’s with BDS” promotion, Charlie received a $100 Cabela’s gift card courtesy of BDS. Thanks Charlie…enjoy! “I purchased my 2004 Jeep Wrangler Sport right off the showroom floor and within two weeks had it delivered to Hoak’s Four Wheel Drive Center in Wrightsville, PA. Hoak’s 4WD Center installed a 3″ BDS Suspension system and 33″ BFG KM Mud Terrains. This started my personal relationship with the folks at Hoak’s and BDS Suspension. In 2006 I asked Hoak’s to install a Sid Row engine and transmission skid plate, a set of BDS lower fixed control arms in the front and add…

We have recently expanded our test area with the help of a dozer, excavator, and lots of 36 tire swallowing concrete blocks. These obstacles really work the suspension and put the components of the Jeeps to the limit. Going out and testing Jeeps makes the work day a whole lot better.

Stevie’s 1998 4.0L TJ Sport has the BDS 4.5” kit and ultimate disconnects, 4.56 gears, 33” BFG Mud terrains, old Olympic (we think) bumpers, full Borla exhaust and Ramsey electric winch. He reports the BDS ultimate disco’s are the doggies danglies (fantastic) and the BDS suspension sooooo much better than the Skyjacker stuff we took off. Better on and off road. I bought the 3″ ultimate suspension with quick disconnects for my TJ about 2 months ago and took it to the Jeep Jamboree out in Bradford, PA this past weekend. I had to write you guys and let you know how kick ass the suspension is. I got through the trails and obstacles amazingly. I even took the Jeep up the ramp to test the flex and got a 94.1 (see my Bad Ass Ride photo). Other TJ’s with 4″ lifts by other companies were only getting around 86. It was incredible! Just wanted to let you all know I will always be recommending BDS. John Wefing – Bethlehem, PA View this lift kit View John’s Bad Ass Ride
