Recently, we were in need of some new tires for the BDS FJ Cruiser. This vehicle belongs to, and lives with our Rocky Mountain Rep in the mountains of Colorado, so due to the 4 seasons and the technical trails he was pretty picky about what tires he wanted to run on the Toyota. After doing some research and reaching out to some fellow off-roaders, he decided to go with the new Milestar Patagonia M/T. He decided on that tire for a couple of reasons. One, its an aggressive tire with a unique tread pattern. Two, in today’s market it is hard to find a quality tire that isn’t going to bankrupt you for a set of 5. National FJ Summit Recap
Every July the Toyota 4×4 community has been meeting up for a 5 days of trail riding and camaraderie in the beautiful landscape of Ouray, Colorado for the National FJ Summit. This year marked the 10th annual event and FJ Summit X didn’t disappoint. Open to more than just FJ Cruisers, this event has Toyotas of all kinds and even a few lost Jeeps attend to join in the action. Ouray is known for its breath taking views offering up some of the most scenic wheeling trails in the country. Now in its 10th year, FJ Summit brought in just shy of 400 Toyotas trucks and SUVs from all over the United States and Canada. Sponsors big and small flock to the tiny town of Ouray to get face to face with the enthusiasts, and to get out on the trails with them. FJ Build on Off-Road Overhaul
Check out Off-Road Overhaul this week as Mike Duval and the crew overhaul a Toyota FJ Cruiser and prep it for trail use. Now in it’s 7th week, Off-Road Overhaul finds deserving outdoor enthusiasts in need of a boost. Once outfitted with lift, wheels, tires, winch, performance upgrades, and more, the owner is taken on an off-road adventure with the newly customized ride.
