This event will start in Wickenburg, Arizona on May 13, 2019 and will fill three days with off-roading, camping, and Arizona’s stunning scenery. A professional guide has crafted the route to include a variety of terrain for any level of skill and overlanding vehicle sizes.
After the three-day off-roading adventure, Overland Adventure will host a banquet and free access to the 2019 Overland Expo West event. This event is the official event partner of the Overland Adventure. Along with these perks, participants will be invited to park their 4x4s in the exclusive “Four Wheeler Overland Adventure Camp” at the show. Great opportunity to show off your rigs!
BDS Suspension is the official suspension sponsor for the event. We will be attending with #ProjectRangerX and have plenty of giveaways available for participants. While at the Overland Expo West we’ll be having a party alongside FOX with Project RangerX on display.
More details and registration will be announced later this month.
Each Spring for nearly a decade now the overlanding community has come together to take part in what has become the premier overlanding event in the world, Overland Expo. Held this past weekend in Flagstaff, AZ, Overland Expo WEST brought in more then 8000 attendees from around the world along with more than 250 exhibitors to promote their newest and most innovative products to the overlanding community. Here’s what BDS Rep Miles Henderson had to say about it:
We made it out for the 3-day event teaming up with FOX to promote some of our new suspension options available. With the 2015 Chevy Colorado built up and ready for an expedition we spent the weekend talking with customers and promoting our diverse lineup of lift kits for truck, SUV and Jeep vehicles. The event is held near Mormon Lake in the heart of the beautiful Coconino National Forest. It boasts more than 170 different classes, workshops, and roundtable events ranging from rollover vehicle winching, to learning how to stay safe while traveling solo around the world. The vehicles ranged from mountain bikes to multi-story Unimogs.
There always seems to be some sort of adverse weather that coincides with this event. This year was wind, and a lot of it. Wind gusts over 60 mph made quick work of multiple EZ-ups, and tents. By day two, hordes of campers were abandoning the wind whipped lake bed, and were heading for the shelter provided by the tree filled hillsides. Fortunately, we were unscathed at the FOX/BDS booth.
The weekend was really topped off by the party at the FOX/BDS booth Saturday night. Who doesn’t enjoy great food and local craft beer with a couple of hundred likeminded explorers. Great stories were exchanged, and great friends were made. Thank you to Goal Zero for providing all of the light for the party, and to Canyon Coolers for pouring all of the beer for us.
We had great people from all over the world stop by the booth and say hi throughout the event. It was great to see BDS Suspension on so many overlanding rigs. These people really have to trust what they drive because they are consistently on the roads/trails less traveled. It is great that they are putting that trust in us. See you at the next event.
