BDS’s weekly “Not A BDS” Posts Continue 1-Year Later
It started out as a fun Friday incentive to post comically horrific suspension hack jobs on the BDS Facebook page, one year later Friday F*Up continues to amuse the masses with no signs of letting up. Each Friday, BDS posts a glorious example of what not to do to your ride, a “what the hell were they thinking”, sketchy, unsafe, pitiful excuse for lift kits up for all the world to see and chime in on. One-year later, submissions continue to come in from around the US and abroad and the “Not A BDS” posts continue with no sign of going away soon. BDS at the Indy 4Wheel Jamboree
The 4Wheel Jamboree Nationals continue to be a stellar event series, bringing together a diverse group of trucks, Jeeps, and other 4×4 fanatics for a weekend of fun. The events are held throughout the warmer months in Bloomsburg, PA,  Lima, OH and Indianapolis, IN. We’ve been attending these events for nearly 2 decades and although the event and the vehicles have changed over the years, it continues to be one hell of a good time. Held mid-September each year, the Indy 4Wheel Jamboree continues to be our favorite of the series. While we love them all, the people, the rides, and activities, the Indy show boasts the largest attendance with more than 4500 vehicles and 10,000 people in attendance, a great layout for activities and vendors, and a short 3.5 hour haul from our home office in Michigan. BDS at the Outback Offroad Adventure Park
BDS loaded up the trailer and headed east for the 4th and final Outback Offroad Adventure of the 2014 season. Organized by Meridian Offroad in Butler, PA, BDS has been sponsoring this offroad park for years and uses it both for product testing as well as an opportunity to meet customers and spend some time together out on the trail. Rob and Terry from Meridian Offroad did on heck of a job organizing the event once again opening up the park for 2 days of trail rides on a mix of mild to hardcore terrain. With plenty of rain these past few weeks even the moderate trails became a challenge to navigate. The weekend camping/4wheeling trip gave us a chance to bring out some new faces, a few BDS employees without time behind the wheel of Project KJ and limited time out on the trail. Patriot Raptor to be Auctioned Off This Weekend!
Hooah to the men and women serving and protecting this great country. To those who have fought, sacrificed, and bled for the red, white and blue. To those who have returned home safely, those injured and to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, this project Raptor  dubbed “The Patriot” is for you. What started as an idea to auction off a Raptor to raise money for a worthy cause quickly transformed into something much bigger. The MobilityWorks Foundation, a non-profit organization that offers transportation support to special needs and disable Americans teamed up with West Coast Customs to design and build a one of a kind 2014 Ford F150 Raptor; one that pays respect to those we have lost while being proud of all those who serve. With a short build timeline before auction, they got after it with custom patriotic paintwork done by Ryan Ryno Templeton and custom stitching on the interior.…
Upcoming Events: Outback, Indy, OK, & Expo
Summer may be coming to an end soon, but our event schedule is still in full swing. It’s been a busy Summer, filled with Jeep Shows, 4Wheel Jamborees, open houses, and the Ultimate Adventure keeping all of us here at BDS on our toes, out and about around the country and outside its borders. As we roll into Fall the shows continue on with events on all corners of this great country with trail riding events, jamborees, truck shows, and dealer shows.  Upcoming events include: Outback 4×4 Adventure: September 13-14, 2014 – Eau Claire, PA This 2 day wheeling adventure is available for in the hills of Eau Claire, PA. Guided trails from mild to difficult with off camber trails, mud, rocks and steep climbs. Hosted by Meridian Offroad, this has become one of our go-to events each year. BDS teams up with JCR to host an Offroad Swap Meet this weekend!
OFFROAD SWAP MEET August 23, 2014 9350 Shaver Rd Portage, Michigan BDS Suspension is teaming up with JCR Offroad to host an offroad swap this weekend in Portage, MI. Whether you’re trying to unload some of your old parts or looking for a great deal on some “gently” used gear come on out for the Saturday fun. BDS R&D has been sorting through and loading up a trailer full of parts to bring to the event. Both BDS and JCR will be have some great deals on scratch-n-dent parts, prototype take-offs, and more. Booth space is still available, we’ll also have a bounce house to keep the kids entertained show trucks and a food truck on site so you can grub out.
