Carlisle Truck Nationals Recap
This weekend marked the 23rd Annual Carlisle Truck Nationals in Carlisle, PA. While it may be a few years shy of the Silver Anniversary, the crowds made it out in droves for the event with more than 2000 trucks of all kinds, shapes and sizes with lifted, lowered, high performance, rock crawling, vintage and late model trucks out for the weekend event. Whether you’re looking to cruise the fairgrounds and the selection of rides or you’re looking for a little more high-octane entertainment, Carlisle had events for the whole family. The off-road playground hosted by Rausch Creek was a big hit among trail rigs wanting to try their hand on the dirt and rocks. BDS Suspension FMVSS No.126 Compliant
July 31st, 2013: BDS Suspension FMVSS No.126 Compliant In an effort to reduce the risk of rollover crashes the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) established the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 126 requiring all new passenger vehicles under 10,000 lbs GVWR include an electronic stability control (ESC) system as standard equipment. FMVSS No. 126 tests new vehicle ESC systems through a series of evasive lane-change maneuvers at highway speeds to ensure the driver can maintain control in critical driving situations. Effective August 2012 this law requires aftermarket products to be compliant with these same standards. With the new requirements in place, SEMA reached out to aftermarket manufacturers to test kit compliance of products. The initial investment to test compliance is large, so many companies have chosen to self certify their products without any formal engineering analysis. BDS hit the road in route to the 2013 Carlisle Truck Nationals in Carlisle, PA. The annual show runs Friday Aug.2 through Sunday Aug.4 and boasts fun for the whole family. Jeep Nation Strong at the PA Jeep Show
The Jeep nation was strong this past weekend as 700+ Jeeps converged on York, Pennsylvania for the 18th Annual All Breeds Jeep Show. This annual event hosted by the PA Jeeps Club totes an assortment of Jeep vehicles from early Willys and restored classics, daily drivers and diesel-powered JKs. The 2-day show started Saturday morning and ran through Sunday late afternoon with numerous events to keep the whole family entertained. Many came and filled the fairgrounds to show off their Jeeps, while others came looking for a deal on some hard to find parts at the swap meet. RC Jeeps and rock piles popped up throughout the grounds while many put their Jeeps to the test by taking on the onsite obstacle course set up and managed by Rausch Creek Offroad Park staff. Great turnout at the Bloomsburg 4Wheel Jamboree
The annual 4Wheel Jamboree Nationals was held this past weekend in Bloomsburg, PA. The festival that celebrates all things 4WD took over the town as thousands converged on the town in lifted trucks, competition race rigs, and topless… Jeeps. With monster truck racing, tough truck competitions, show-in-shine contest, hundreds of vendors on site and a bikini contest, there was no shortage of activities to keep the masses entertained. Â The crew from BDS Suspension made it out to join in the activities and set up some trucks over in the vendor area. The guys stayed busy all weekend long talking to customers, answering questions, and handing out promo items. All in all a great weekend in Bloomsburg, check out photo to see more.
