SEMA is right around the corner! Now in its 44th year, the 2011 SEMA Show boasts over 2000 companies and over 100,000 attendees out in Las Vegas, NV each year. Hosted by the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) this event is a 4-day long showcase of everything automotive for the truck, car, and motorcycle industries, covering the performance, styling and racing markets as manufacturers, media, and industry professionals come together to show off their latest and greatest. The date is set for November 1-4, 2011. While SEMA isn’t open to the general public, the event is a benchmark for all the current and future trends within the industry. Media coverage is vast in the days, weeks, and months that follow the event so you’re sure to see some of it in magazines, on the web, and on TV. Off-Road Expo this weekend in Pomona, CA
As the chaos known as the truck show season winds down and everyone begins to relax, 2 shows come along each year, slated mere weeks apart that draw in hundreds of aftermarket manufactures, tens of thousands of attendees, celebrity appearances, and media from around the world. These 2 events you might ask, are Off-Road Expo in Pomona, CA and The SEMA Show in Las Vegas, NV. This Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 8-9, 2011) the Pomona Fairplex will be taken over by everything off-road vehicle related, from Motocross to UTV, Truck, Jeep, Racing, Rock Crawling, Monster Truck and plenty other things to excite any level of outdoor enthusiast. BDS Suspension in China BDS Suspension landed in Beijing, China Monday in preparation for the SEMA CIAPE Show which starts today, September 7th,  and runs through the weekend. Hosted by the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), this show has much in common with the SEMA Show held in Las Vegas each November (which BDS is attending in booth 30170, but more on that later). Companies from around the world are in attendance to looking to offer their products in this expanding market. The show is structured slightly different then the US SEMA Show as vendors hold a number of smaller one-on-one interactions in addition to the product showcase. BDS’s Andy Barbieri made the trip 1/2-way around the world to showcase some the new products BDS is offering for trucks, Jeeps, and SUVs. Loading up for Butler, PA: Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival
BDS is loading up the trailer and getting ready to hit the road tomorrow for Butler, PA for the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival this weekend Aug. 12-14, 2011. The cruise from Michigan to Pennsylvania along I-80 has become routine with this our 3 trip this month for PA Jeeps Show, Carlisle Truck Nationals, and now The Bantam Jeep Festival. The show has all the makings to be enormous with the entire town of Butler, PA chipping in to host events, parades, demonstrations, off-road trail rides, live music, show and shine, and Jeep playground. Butler, PA if you didn’t know was the birthplace of the Jeep where back in 1940 the Bantam Car Company produced the first all purpose military vehicle back in 1940-41. Come celebrate the heritage of Jeep with us!
BDS is hitting the Road for Carlisle
BDS is loaded up and hitting the road for the Carlisle Truck Nationals in Carlisle, PA. The show runs Friday-Sunday (August 5-7, 2011) at the Carlisle Fairgrounds. The show features everything truck culture from lifted to lowered show trucks, monster trucks, burnout contest and so much more. BDS will be setting up in the vendor area with our local distributor RV 4WD Center. Stop by and get a sneak peek of new kit offerings and the latest options from BDS. Jeeps, Jeepers, and Jeepoholics at the PA Jeeps Show
Last weekend the crew from BDS Suspension loaded up the trailer and made the 500+ mile trip to York, PA for the 16th Annual All Breeds Jeep Show hosted by the PA Jeeps Club. This family friendly event attracts thousands each year seasoned Jeepers all the way to the entry level first time Jeep owners with plenty to keep everyone happy. This 2-day event grows continues to grow in both size and quality each year and hats off to Rick Bear and all the volunteers from the PA Jeep Club for their hard work on organizing this event. From planning the Jeep show, to working with with Rausch Creek Offroad Park to build the obstacle course, and organizing the vendors around the fairgrounds the club did a great job.
