Ford just made the announcement, they'll have 4 custom 2021 Ford Broncos and 2 Bronco Sports on display in their booth at the 2021 SEMA Show. Of these 4 Broncos the we're pumped to finally say that the team at BDS is building one of them, a 2-Door Black Diamond edition Bronco 2.3L Manual to be exact.  The pLan is pretty simple, turn it into an ultra-capable Fire/Rescue themed short wheelbase Bronco truck dubbed "Fire Command". We'll have a full build series dropping next week so stay on the lookout for more as the team at BDS overhauls this 2021 Bronco 2Dr for first responder duties. (Watch for More Info Here)

Among the other builds that will be on display in Ford's booth include the RTR Fun-Haver Bronco 4Dr by Vaugh Gittin Jr, the track'd snow adventure Bronco 4Dr by Tucci Hot Rods, and the Baja Forged Bronco by LGE-CTS Motorsports. The show runs November 2-5 out in Las Vegas, NV. These vehicles will be on display in Ford's booth, #22200 of Central Hall at the LVCC.

BDS Teases New Bronco Project Build

Well its that time of year again, SEMA is almost here and with it the crew from BDS is tackling a new product build. Little surprise here it's on a 2021 Ford Bronco, the most anticipated vehicle in recent years and arguably the platform that will shake things up in the automotive aftermarket now that Jeep has a worthy challenger.

For this build we brought in a plain jane Bronco 2Dr, Black Diamond edition that'll be transformed into something cool, purposeful and unique. While its a few days early to unveil the full project details, list of partners an display location at SEMA we thought we'd share a teaser that shows just some of what we've been doing Bronco over the last couple weeks. Anybody that has been following BDS for the last couple years can likely guess booth location. Anyways, check out the teaser video and stay tuned, the cat will be out of the bag on this build late next week just ahead of SEMA with a full build series, videos, photos, write ups and more. Follow along for updates here and join the conversations that'll be going on over on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

4-Part Build Series

Diesel Tech Mag Feature

Four Wheeler Feature

10-months into owning the Work/Play F150 and we've had some time to but the get a feel for the truck, the suspension, and the hybrid powerplant. See how it handles for long road trips and push it offroad at events from coast to coast include the King of the Hammers and Daytona Truck Meet. It got all dolled up for Ford's 2020 Virtual SEMA Special and got down and dirty wheeling countless trails, sand dunes and towing the all new Ford Bronco back to use for product development.

So what do we think... its a freakin' awesome truck. It lives up to the Built Ford Tough and has done everything we've asked of it on-road, off-road, loaded down or cruising around as a daily driver. While we were admittedly skeptical of the PowerBoost hybrid, its won us over with tons of power on tap and decent fuel economy (when not towing). This F150 has the Limited trim package, the highest end Ford offers and it shows with all the technology inside and out, the creature comforts and and styling cues.

So at this point with plenty of time spent out on the road, while its lived most of its life in our home state of Michigan, its made the cross country drive to Johnson Valley, CA for King of the Hammers, a cruise down to Daytona Beach, FL for Daytona Truck Meet and several trips up to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Michigan and other offroad destinations. With more than 10,000-miles on the odometer we wanted to give a rundown of this truck, what's done to it, how its performed and what's next for it. Check it out...
