There’s no denying that 2020-’23 Chevy and GMC trucks are tough, but we’re making them a whole lot tougher with our latest BDS system. The new BDS 6.5” FOX 2.5 Performance Elite Coilover Conversion Suspension System takes the best elements of the time-honored BDS high-clearance IFS and brings things to the next level.

The biggest piece of the puzzle? FOX’s 2.5 Performance Elite (PE) coilovers. These coilovers replace the torsion bar suspension and drastically improve the truck’s ride quality and overall performance both on and off the road. The shocks’ aluminum body helps with heat dissipation, and the dual-speed compression (DSC) adjusters in the reservoir give maximum control in high and low speed conditions. For high speed, there are 12 adjustment points. For low, there are 10. The coilovers come pre-tuned, fully assembled and ready to bolt on to your truck.

In signature BDS fashion, the components are rugged, and the installation is straightforward. The coilovers mount to a bolt-in bracket where the shocks originally were, while a weld-in support gusset reinforces the upper mount. Even with the required welding, the kit is easily removable and transferrable to another truck. When we designed this kit, we knew strength was critical. With that in mind, we opted for heavy duty upper and lower control arms. Built from 1.5” OD x .120-wall tubing, the upper control arms were engineered specifically to work with the 2.5 coilovers. The same goes for the lower control arms. They’re made of high-strength steel, and they’re fully boxed and internally gusseted. Premium ball joints and OEM-style rubber bushings help keep things quiet, while strengthened tie rods add an extra degree of durability. All components are powdercoated black, creating the perfect blend of form and function.
